People didn't think that GW:EN was worth the money, can you imagine if they decided to sell the BMP (4 missions) for $40 in a store how much more b!tch!ng and moaning we would get on these forums? There is something similar to what you are talking about here, but I think they will end up offering it again in a promotion deal later on to try to get people to use the online store. The offer was going on for several months, if you couldn't round up the money over those several months, you got bigger things going on than video games and error codes could have been dealt with, I believe, if you really wanted to.

/notsigned: too late.

I already bought some character slots to be able to get the mission pack, so a separate sell is useless by now. It would be nice if it had been part of a Guild Wars: Eye of the North collectors edition.

In short: too late to fix it now, but I hope a next mission pack will be available in a different way.

so your not signing it because you already have it, dont you think that is really selfish?, i mean u might be a little rich mumma's boy who can access a credit card/pre-paid credit card, but theres those who live the poor life struggling to pay the bills and just didnt have the monye, theres those who are struggling to support themself's in life, and theres those who just COULDNT purchase from the online store, and its not to late to fix it, sell it seperate for a decent price, or did you fail to read that part?

so making $380 a fortnight and paying over 200 dollars on bills and what ever left to eat is my own fault?, pfft!

Oh and i know many people who thought GW:EN was a good price compared to the other campaigns
Quote:
$14.4 million made from GWEN divided by $40 per GWEN game equals atleast 360,000 players still playing Guild Wars (slightly more, due to discounts in GWEN's price). Quite interesting.

and i cant mention how many times the error code was brought up

oh and i said for what ever price a-net read the bottom of my first post

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I noticed, that the two top people are not signing it cus they COULD get the money together and probably live at home with there mum....and before any mentions about me owning the other campaigns it called LAY-BUY(LAY-WAY in some countries)

Yeah 4 months to raise the money to buy something online, either it be GWEN, character slots, another campaign, pvp, in america it is a plenty of time. I can see your not from America. You seem to have a computer, and lay-away video games. Cant afford to feed yourself, you have your priorities messed up pal. It goes 1.Food 2.Shelter then 3.Entertainment . For those people that didnt get it for maybe some serious issue, dont threat it may be available another way down the scretch.

There was plenty of advance notice on how to get this, if you didn't spend the money in the in-game store, that's your problem.

The idea for offering it as a bonus was probably to promote sales over the online store and make more direct cash with GW:EN.

The second idea was probably that it is not enough content that could be sold for even only 5$.

But no worries.
I am pretty sure that ANet soon finds a way to charge you extra for it, as a service to the community and on popular demand. :>

thank you for responding with commonsense and a positive attitude, the content itself i would pay atleast $30-$40 for(acctual missions not dungeons)

and for the sake of my belief in god i hope u are right.....Even if they did a buy the MBP and get a free T-shirt or collectors cup or anything cheap promotion(in real game stores World wide) or even online(but not the stupid 3 months crap cus that was gay).

as for any future BMP i doubt it cus GW2 is arounf the corner.

and maybe(i hope) they only did the promo to clear off some old games they had laying around...and will sell it seperate later.

If the BMP is to be sold seperatly, then A-net should send out the content of the GW:EN retail box to everybody that bought GW:EN in the online store and payed extra for it comapred to what it would have cost at a retailer.
Personally I only bought the game from the ingame store to get access to the BMP. I will feel cheated if A-net was to make it possible to buy the BMP separate.

Horrible attitude^

You bought from the store and got the pack for free. Anet doesn't owe you anything, including exclusivity.

Like many, I also bought from the online store, but I wasn't happy about the pressure to do so and would love to see an alternative for this and future products/promotions.

In my opinion, it would generate additional revenue for Anet and would alleviate the grievances of those who could not take the offer (I got my own credit card specifically for EotN).

But, if Anet believes that the negative aspects of such an offer would outweight the gains, I'll trust their judgement. They have a very good track record in these decisions, as far as I'm concerned.

I have the bonus pack because I wasted money on 3 character slots I didn't need, but I still want to see this as a seperate $10 sale for the people that didn't get it.

Only /signed if they get more ways to pay in the online store, or it's kind of pointless.

/notsigned 200 times

I (and i'm sure many ppl with me) would have never bought eotn in the online store. i love to have a box in my hands. a.net clearly wanted us to think that spending 26eur in the store was the ONLY way to have the BMP and pretty much "obliged" many customers to buy eotn from the online store (which was NOT cheap btw, i could have bought the box for 22eur on day 1).
Don't even talk about the ppl that bought 3 character slots ONLY to have the BMP.

if they place it there for purchase for a little amount MANY ppl will feel fooled by a.net

NO NO NO
and NO AGAIN.

only solution: sell it for 26eur so old customers aren't screwed.

Yes. I was planning on buying from a store with the full knowledge that I wouldn't get the BMP until it was announced that there wouldn't be a CE, at which point I realised that the online store was the much better option since at least I'd get the BMP (and instant access). Glad I did too, no sooner than I'm patching GW than I see threads here complaining that EB didn't have their stock in yet here in Aus.

Tell me about it, Perth rent is ridiculous these days. Be easier if we didn't have to pay in euros in the online store. >_>

Anyhoo, it was clearly stated on the promotion page long in advance that "The Bonus Pack will only be available to the exact account that fulfills this promotion". There was plenty of notice of this promotion, and I believe it would be wrong to all the customers who got the mission pack through the in-game store to sell it seperate later.

there was time to obtain rights to BMP, me like Drop of Fear would have never bought eotn in the online store otherwise.

ANet promoted the re-release of Prophecies (GotYE) with a bonus weapon pack - I'm sure many bought the game again just to get it - were they all "screwed" when ANet then started selling the pack as a seperate product?

Hell, it's actually pretty normal for the first wave of buyers to pay more- it happens with every damn product released, GW:EN included! I paid £25 at the store - sure I could have got the game for £17.99 outside the store, but if I think in terms of being screwed, I'd still feel that way when the game went down to £12.99 in some sales, barely a couple of months later. It'll probably be £7.99 after christmas.

I'm not saying that I don't think that the store was a bit of a rip-off, but we all went in with our eyes open. The only valid argument I can see on this, is that no alternative should be made available *before* the pack goes live. It is reasonable for people to expect that participating in the offer gets them first access.

/signed. I could care less about it cause GW is horrible for me but for those that weren't able to get it or didn't want to get it through the store. A $5-10 one that's in store would be cool.

As for the people that already bought it..LOL OH WELL.

I bought GWEN through the online store, making me eligible for the bonus pack. If it were made available for purchase my prominent and proud online genitalia would shrink and shrivel up, so: /notsigned.
