what kinda of commercial is that?
ok does any1 notice that gamestop is using guild wars video without even putting the gw ad on their website or without even putting www.guildwars.com at the end of the advertisement.

It's not meant as a Guild Wars advert; it's a Gamestop advert, and a Gamestop advert only.
Gamestop merely paid ArenaNet to use the video game engine to make the video. And ArenaNet will take any money they can. (That is for the better, though. That commercial would eliminate GW sales if players knew it was a GW commerical) |

Its a gamestop ad. And some people like it. Commericals aren't meant to be taken seriously, you think a video showing Guild Wars combat would have done a better job reaching the demographic (parents) of that commercial?

Gamestop obviously are not great at advertising anyway, I mean fancy calling your stores Gamestop.
They may think it sounds like stop here to buy games but to me it comes over more as a government anti games initiative. Do you want to stop your children playing computer games then call Gamestop on 0800 776 3450 The gw bit was mildy amusing though although not in the same league as other gw bits on Youtube. To those who made the movies there I salute your efforts. |
