Never in 13 months. I do get quite a few Major Vigor runes though. At least 2-3 a month. My salvage money comes from the tons of Survivor and Radiant Insignia I get each week. I just outfitted my new Mesmer with full Radiant armor and didn't have to buy any Insignia from the trader.

1 year of playing.. about 3,532 hours on ONE char (go warrior! only have 2 20s warrior and derv but i will have a rit soon also but mainly im on my warrior alot) i might have got ONE once cant rember i know i got a good gold mod with health so i went to get it off and the item salvaged leaveing me with 5 iron ingots... So sad.

I have a question is it posible that each toon has a different luck rate for each area (chest,Identification,green drops,item drops)..?
it seems after 1 year of playing on my warrior and 2 mounths on my derv that the derv has collected almost more money/items then my warrior...
my warrior has never goten a green.. EVER after farming elite dungeons elite missions and more still NEVER got one to drop for me... also after 1 year and almost 3 campagins the best item hes ever goten by drop i think is a req 12 ingenous Maul XD (witch is like the awsomest hammer skin) And his chest drops are to sad for me to talk about.
But My warrior does have Excellent Id skills (sept vigour rune) Alot of the items he id's have great mods =D i swear he could id like 5 swords and get at least one good mod like a +30 or 20/20.

On the other hand my derv ID's TRASH not even a max Crap mod its terrible. But he gets greens alot with a full hench/hero group i get them sometimes and i didnt know i was fighting a boss... and his chest drops arnt half bad i got a diamond ageis yesterday XD.

with this said i find it hard to beleive that its a balanced % per toon.. I swear my warrior is cursed lol im actualy makeing another (femal title warrior XD) to see if shes any better..

I've had exactly two and have been playing since launch. The first was a boon to my budding farming career as it happened during Prophecies early days. I was in Iron Mines of Moladune and the PUG killed some boss. Low and behold... a Sup Vigor assigned to me.

Talk about a lottery win! Sold that for around 90k. That enabled me to buy some better mods for weapons and outfit my necro for farming ettins which lead to a lot of income.

Later in Cantha I had one of the giant monsters around Chubaba Rootripper or whatever his name is drop a sup vigor.

Since then... nada.

I've never gotten one, although I have gotten quite a few minor and major vigors. Been playing since the release of factions and I have logged some 2400 hours.

I've had one once.... Don't remember how or where I found it, but it might have been Echovald.... I recall talking about Superior Vigor runes in Echovald...

But aside from that I've bought quite a few... and that is about it.
Major Vigor and Minor Vigor I get occasionally. More often than not though my gold armour tends to give me useless superiors like Absorption or Illusion Magic.

I've had 2 superior vigors across 10 characters (OK, more like 25 including re-rolls) and playing since the game went live.

The first I got was on my Sin, from a Jade Brotherhood Knight, on an early visit to the Wajjun Bazaar. Probably my most exciting drop ever, because it was worth 30-40K and I'd never had much cash before that. The other was on my ranger last december-ish and, IIRC, came from Perdition Rock. I had more cash by then, so gave it to my Sin.

I've haven't really farmed for them, other than occasionally going and clearly an area where people have reported drops, but I've never been very lucky.

How bout you guys?

Superior Vigors are well known around my alliance to ID from Margonite Armor as well as many Armor from Factions. The most I have gotten are 5 I think, and all but one came from Locked Chests.

Come now, do you truly beleive this is true? Heh, I sincerely think it might, but based on my experiences with loot, the drop rates are all pretty solid if not random. I think loot is randomized based on some sort of invisible die...or something. I thought I saw percentages given by Gaile, but those were from a test, not the actual percentage of the items.

I'm just jabbering, so if you excuse me, I'll stop now.

Nearly all that time was spent in pve, and I don't AFK for anything. Guess I won't be getting another anytime soon.

sometimes i get radiant insignias, but not even a minor vigor

I've gotten an amount around the 70s when it comes to superior vigors. That was a year and a half ago when they were actually worth something. 95% of which came from ettins. The rest came from chests that I opened while skill capping and questing. These days I hear they're hard to get. /shrug

I have gotten a few... Seems like each new character I have made got one (when they did) early... Like the last one I got was just a few weeks ago on my Paragon (just never made one before) I got it from a drop in Korna from the large mobs of Corsairs down in the Barbarous Shore... I wan to say it came from one of the leuntenents. But to be honest I'm not sure. there are lost of them down there... It would be hard to tell what dropped what...

The prior Sup Vigor rune I got was in Faction on my Ritualist. Again on a newly made character... I got it in the Takinaki temple explorable area... I don't remember from what.

Seems like you have a better chance at one on a new character then on an old one. (just my opinion, I could be wrong).

I do however remember the very first one I got. that was back in Prophecies, on my Mesmer... I was farming Charr in the northern wall mission. Instead of running just fighting it out till the time was out. A buddy and I were doing it cause there was a better then ave number of drops from Charr at the time and We lucked onto one there... It dropped for me, but I had bought one with borrowed gold from someone else so I gave it to him... (this was before the rune trader existed)

I know I got at least 1 more Pretty sure it was in FoW. but I can't remember on what or when...

But yea. thats over almost 3 years of playing on 11 characters...

I do have another threory on the rune drops too... This is based off new people playing and the quality of their drops...

If you do not have it unlocked on your account it seems like you get a better chance at getting it on your account... This seems to be a hard one to prove however. I noticed myself once I unlocked all my superior runes and perfect mods I saw significantly less of them drop for me... That could be the changes to the drop system, or it could just be bad luck. IDK. However When my friend opened a new account recently, I noticed that he has been getting significantly better drops and chests on that account... Especially in Hard mode when with me...

That seems to hold true with me as well as I do not farm anywhere near as much as some people and when we go for an elite mission or something in a large group I tend to get a green more often then I care to admit. That always gets peoples goat at times, but since I am not a profit monger I tend to just give what I get away to the people that participated in the mission that wants it... If no one wants it I customize it and put it on a hero...

The runes are tricky. I'm sure part of the reason the Rune trader was not implemented the way it was originally proposed was cause so many people were not seeing the quality drops. and instead of fixing that issue in the game they added a limit free trader to compensate. The original proposal for the rune trader was that once you unlocked the rune you would forever be able to buy it from the trader on that account. So you could unlock it in many ways. Finding it from a drop or chest, PvP Faction from the priest, or Buying a PvP edition... But allas it was open to everyone unlocked or not. Which was OK, but ultimately defeated the purpose of unlocking things IMHO.

All I can say is good luck. Sup vigors do drop but they are rare. and that is the way it really should be... Anet injects thousands of them into the trader so there is a supply of them to buy. Because of that the number of natural drops outside the trader is going to be lower. That only makes since...

I got one once when the game first came out I didn't know any thing about them so I sold it to an NPC Yes everyone LOL AT THIS GUY!!!!
