I don't know if this was said earlier but...
I remember when:

- There was only Prophecies
- There were alot of people playing
- There were no such thing as Assassins, Dervishes etc.
- Shadow Stepping was non-existent
- Factions was non-existent thus there was none of the relentless trash talking about other people in other factions
- AoE
- How Boon-Prot was such an effective cookie-cutter build that 'everyone' was a good monk
- Less rants on Forums about Anerfs
- There were less Trolls and there were nicer people

I remember...

my first PvP event in prophecies when going post searing. Had no idea what was going on and didn't attack anyone.

Was such a noob I ended up at fort ranik (post searing) still in starter armor.

got my first black dye.

ele fire skills were da bomb literally. AoE wasn't nerfed.

Everyone was a noob.

your characters stood outside a campfire... wish I had a screen of that still. the original log in screen is still my fav.

I remember when droks run was still a good money maker.

I remember when I always took mending on my bar, wondering why my energy was so low.

I remember when having 1 ecto was only something I could imagine.

When people didn't ask you to ping your build before the start of every mission.

When I thought the 55 monk was the most awsome thing ever.

And when I was clueless on how to get the crafting materials needed for my first set of armor out of pre-searing in old ascalon (the monsters never drop the stuff the crafter needs.......)

I remember when I first started playing GW (Prophecies) and I did a lot of stupid crap with my original warrior. I had things on my bar like Frenzy and Blood Renewal and trying to be a MM with my warrior... Lol... So dumb.

I remember first time I realized there are other places I haven't visited even after beating the final mission a few times.
I remember fighting through the snows and monsters with a nice pug team, and finally reached granite citadel, loaded with money and material for my first set of 15K armor.
I remember granite citadel's music as my favorite.
I remember I made a lot of friends when playing prophecies, and how I lost them after factions and nightfall.

I rememember when names like Yak's bend and Lion's Arch had a mysterious, exotic aura about them (before I made it to those places the first time, way back when)

I remember when Fire Storm was a decent PvE skill.

I remember when my first Ranger met his end - Eaten by his own pet bear! (hyperphasia FTL!)

I remember when NO ONE would take a Mesmer in their group. (They're learning )

I remember taking my second Ranger through Prophecies doing Mission & Bonus all the way through just for the sake of doing it (pre-titles)

I remember doing the torch trick in THK and making jokes while all the baddies were beating on me and all my party was beating on them!

When almost no one would let rangers into a party.

Being called a noob when I didn't have all the skills the party leader requested my first time in HA.

Getting my first sup Absorption drop from an Ettin, back when they were around 60-70k-ish.

The rollback of 06.

Being excited when I got that deer emote.

Farming Drakes outside Elona's reach

Waiting almost a year and a half for my first max damage Fellblade to drop (dropped in Elona of all places, but was purple, max, q9 and at that point, totally worthless).

I remember:

Feeling lost in pre-searing ascalon.

Feeling awestruck (and lost) when seeing the whole post map (i thought you could explore it ALL)

Going out SOLO with my lvl 6 E/Me, with the skill bar a total mess (7 different attributes - see my first ever screenshot)

Not knowing you can shift your secondary as many times as you want and stayed as an E/Me for AGES because of it.

Thinking that soloing lvl 8 centaurs with my lvl 13 war was leet (had mending of course).

My first valuable drop (sup prot prayers rune, worth approx 12-14k at the time)

When we were the only heroes and had only henchies to go 'round with.

When sup abs and vigor were insanely expensive. then when I dropped one, they were already going down.
