Funny, he flamed me for doing that before, now he's doing it. =O
If your questions are answered, why continue to stick around?
I see not how this could have any effect on the economy, and if you don't like grouping with people who aren't 20, just don't do it.
Im a little confused if thats a reply to me, or the guy I replied to earlier? I didnt make any comments about it effecting the economy and I personally dont mind playing with anyone under lvl20 aslong as its not a high end area where max/skilld characters are prefered.
...in response to the topic, I'd say my view on it is "So f**king what?"
GW:EN was released as high-level content, yes, but if you're enjoying it with your high level characters, who gives a s**t if some level 10 is in GW:EN? Making something out of nothing, yeesh.

This is why level 10+ are allowed in Gwen, so that they can play it early if they want to. Why should the way that others play their game have any impact on you? I'm sure the majority of them, wouldnt want to play with you anyway, they use their H/H teams.

Anet realizes this, and is allowing people with level 10's to go into EoTN. Chances are that most of those people already have characters in EoTN that are level 20, and maybe have even beaten it. And if they haven't, why not give them a free trial and see how they like it, to make the player WANT to buy the expansion in his free trial time.
Its not like level 20 takes hours to do, its a very easy and simple task (in post searing) and you're acting like its a hard and well earned accomplishment.

Why should I care what people do with low-level characters? It's not like level matters in this game anyway.
Level doesnt matter in GW. How many people have to tell you this same thing over and over agin yet you continue to rant about level 10's in GWEN?

True. Go play WoW, you have lots of levels to grind there and can develop your character how you envision it, with lots of level ups, grind, grind, and even more grind.

Try to understand this yourself, before you get all high and mighty! I amended my OP pages ago stating...
"EDIT
Ok so i've had a change of heart and I now dont mind the idea of people under lvl19 going into GWEN, because it is meant to be an open ended game."
..the entire arguement about level and skill and my view on that is not important anymore, because I said I dont mind the idea of lvl10s in GWEN.
Read that and take it in! EVERYONE! Whether I changed my mind is also not a reason to troll the thread, because believe it or not people are allowed to change their opinions. My issues is purely the buff you get, nothing more and nothing less!
There is NO reason for it. If a player is skilled (as you all keep saying the game is about skill) then they should be able to handle GWEN at lvl10 and NOT require the buff.
If they cant handle GWEN at lvl10 then they either go away and get more skill or keep playing GWEN until they can handle it at lower levels.
If this game is truly about skill and nothing else, then we should not be recieving a buff when entering GWEN under lvl20. Otherwise it removes the entire point of needing to be skilled to handle those areas at lower levels because your abilities are being enhanced (whether it be huge amounts or not).
Yet you all turn around and be hyerpcrits by saying....
"Yes the game is about skill, yet it makes it more fun to have the buff."
...so aslong as you get to have your fun and get to play GWEN easier at lower levels; skill goes out the window. It doesnt matter your abilities are being ehanced and the skill required reduced aslong as you get to play GWEN earlier and easier at lower levels.

Tonight I plan on doing Blood Washes Blood to cap Barrage... yep, this update sure sucks....
For god sake! Get this into your head. I didnt say people were incapable of doing any content at lower levels. If your skilled enough to do it, then great for you. Read what I wrote above and get over yourselves. Plus owning a green weapon means nothing since you could buy that on the market at any level.

As I tried to explain earlier, the Buff is there so that the trial players can really enjoy the game.
It's permanent so there is a reason to buy it after the Trial is over.
There's really nothing left to say, but for some reason, I just can't stay away from this trainwreck of a thread.
And sure I could have bought a green and an Elite Tome, but my point is, I didn't have to. And I like the buff. I could hang back and let the level 20's do their work (which is all that would happen with your "solution"), but really, what's the point? Just to prove that a level 10 can do GWEN?

Yet two pages ago on page 18 your still complaining about lvl 10's in GWEN, and about them getting higher level loot and drops, and then you say 'I never complained about the economy'.

Wait a minute... that sounds remarkably like pvp!
So you basically want a pvp creation system in pve, where you make your character and their instantly lvl20, have full access to all skills, armor and weapons?
You want all this so you can instantly have access to full level creatures and high end areas and kick some ass? Not to mention get better drops and more gold!
That was just two pages ago. Since then you havnt mentioned anywhere that you changed your mind so... ermmmm... WTF? You changed your view pages ago and dont have a problem with lvl 10's in GWEN since when? Page 20 of 20? O.o
Your OP still reads:
Quote:
"Characters can now enter Eye of the North as early as level 10 by accepting the quest "What Lies Beneath" from Len Caldoron in Lion's Arch, "I Feel the Earth Move Under Cantha's Feet" from Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon in Kaineng Center, or "Hole of Istan" from Bendah in Kamadan. "
I personally feel this is a complete and utter crock. Now we will have lvl10s running around GWEN (high end areas) locations asking to be run from location to location and to do quest and dungeons.
So whatever.

...has it occured to them that lvl10s will enter GWEN, get the boost and farm high end creatures!
Basically I personally just hate the idea, because it kills the idea of GWEN being high end content and having a sort of reasurance that most players there have experience. Also how does a lvl10 deserve to run around in high end armor or to own a destroyer weapon or prestige armor?
So they have also killed the entire idea of leveling up!
I'm not suggesting a players level is important
GWEN was meant to be a reward for max players, and now its just.... open to everyone!
That's all this is. Beating a dead horse about level 10's getting into a GWEN and getting to level 20 ten minutes faster then they would if in factions.
And when it comes to original intent of content, since when has this been an issue to Arenanet? It all comes down to catering to all forms of play, whether it's good for the game, or for the other players or not.

Here it is
This will just attract players to buy GWEN which I find a good idea. Also it encourages new characters to go through it without having to lvl up to 20. No complaints at all here

Well yeah!
You all talk about how GWs is purely about skill, and yet when I talk about making people use those skills at lower levels in GWEN to achieve something without the aid of buffs....I get trolled?
Which way do you want it; to force people to use their skill ingame or to make everything easier and require less kill aslong as its more fun?
Using a level 10 with the buff is still weaker then a lvl 20 because your primary attribute is capped at 12. So you are still using more skill playing gwen at lvl 10-19 then at level 20 all runed. Also, you have less HP and are more squishy, so surviving in gwen at lvl 10-19 is still harder then surviving at lvl 20. Just simple logic, really really simple.
Skill in GW is still irrelavent to level, so just quit the level = skill crap.
O.o I forgot the blessing increases your HP, I need sleep.

And you and everyone else drop the crap, suggesting im saying level = skill when im not.
Please read this....
All im saying is if lvl10-19 can survive in GWEN without the buff because they have "skill" then that is great. That shows the have skill.
If a lvl10-19 cant survive in GWEN without the buff, then they just dont have the skill to play GWEN yet. Although the same could be said for some lvl20s.
In which case those who cant survive need to go gain some skill or learn to play GWEN and try again until they can manage it.
They do not need the buff. And if the buff has as little impact as you all say it does, and it doent effect HP and only caps at 12 then whats the point of it?
The buff may not have a huge impact, but it will have some and it will enhance your abilities slightly to make you better at an area you might otherwise have not been skilled enough to handle.
But fine! Your all happy to allow the buff because its makes the game "more fun", and screw whether it reduces the skill required.

No, that shows they can piggy-back with H/H or in a PuG of level 20's. They would be contributing little to nothing. It doesn't prove any skill at all. With the buff, they are able to contribute and be useful. This is a team game, remember? We're not talking about a level 10-19 going solo and applauding their 300-style defeat against great odds.
Well yeah!

O.o Does this guy like need brain medication or something?
The buffs make levels 10-19 'slighty' less powerful then a level 20. He continues posting it makes the game easier for them and it now takes less skill.
