QFT. You don't need every skill by any means. When I started, skills were free. I would unlock every skill as it became available (ie trainer in Yaks, trainer in LA trainer in the jungle etc) As a result based on the chars I had at the time, I got pretty much every ele, monk and necro skill available before the hated skill cost update. Any idea how many of those I have NEVER ONCE in the intervening years used? A whole lot. Not every skill is useful, often there are better skills to accomplish whatever you're trying to do. Certain skills, yes, are necessary and singular. PvE provides more than sufficent ways to attain a great selection of skills. I have had no problem unlocking all the skills I want after the cost change. I don't think I have EVERY skill for every profession in every campaign, but I have every useful one.

That's an awesome idea!

There would still be some decision process needed if you didn't want to spend the gold on skill points, but no longer would cheapskates skip out on skills just because of gold cost.

I understand I don't need every skill, and even if they were free, I probably would not take them.

But I'm sure there are others here that know of a skill they would take if it didn't cost another 1k.
