Chapter 1 > Chapter 2 > Chapter 3
Seeing a pattern?
AB is mentally fun, addicting even, well for me.
The story is pretty sweet also.
Am undecided about the fast leveling - I disliked it when I first started with a new Factions toon, as I felt kind of seperated from the story in some way.
I like it if I want to remake a toon or something along those lines...
Meh

3 is not worse then 2. Disregarding the addition of insanely broken skills which took way too long to get fixed, they made some drastic yet really cool changes like adding heroes and weapon inscriptions and freaking junundu. Nothing in factions was that drastic or intuitive IMO.

Factions is hated for locked gates and the 10k faction grind, but if people can get past those two little things then its an awesome campiagn.
I loved the music, art, and weapon skins. Factions is highly underrated by those who want to rush through.
1> 2 = 3 > EN...nothing made me care as much as proph did. I'm in love with Ascalon >_<

If you post Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry separately, you could just post every Alliance Battle maps too... Those are competitive missions.

the only thing desert wasteland NF gave us was 2 new classes (which most seem to gripe about), crappy skills, and heroes (which a lot of, us i.e. me, hate), and some mega crappy armor and weapon skins, not to mention a terrabaed story imo.
factions was beautiful, great story, awesome armor and weapons (if not the best in the whole gws universe), some of the best missions in all of gws, AB (if you like it), and faction stuff in general, which added a whole new dimension to the game, that a lot of people love.

Factions was a million times better than Nightfall. Once Nightfall came out, PvP just went down the gutter. Dervish and Paragon ruined the game, and as for Assassin and Ritualist, not so much. Assassin (if used effectively) at the time used to be really nice. No such thing as Shadow Prison, and I was awesome with the Assassin from the start (because Aura of Displacement was God), and Ritualist has seen better days, but it wasn't that much of a big deal back then.
Prophecies is still the best. Nightfall still sucks. Factions has the coolest boss. Dual-wielding poor man turned into a person of high authority, then tricked by a bigger baddie. Oh yeah, Shiro is definitely one of my most favorite B.A. characters.
I just wish Cantha could be given an entire bottom to expand to the top of Tyria.
Not to mention, the music in Factions is my favorite, with Eye of the North and Prophecies coming after it. Beautiful concept art. Yeah, Factions being the low end of the stick? No. Nightfall. Definitely.

Im not a pvp expert and I hardly ever do it, but something I noticed the other day. Why is there a factions and prophercies tournament and not a nightfall one?
Assuming I used the right terms there, because I didnt pay attention the other night. Did NF not get any pvp stuff at all?

Factions was meant to be a PvP chapter, and Nightfall the PvE one. Unfortunately, Anet failed, and the 'PvP' was glorified PvE in the form of ABs and Fort Ass-penwood/Jade Boring. Then when Nightfall came out, Anet decided they would try out Automated Tournaments. They failed, and most players quit. So rather than go with what worked (World Championships), Anet chose wrong and now PvP is deader than Elvis.

Melodramatic Fail.
If anything Fort Aspen wood relates to GW's Guild Lord (because of the architects)
Opening gates. You can have a split there, to an extent.
AB is HB with less micromanagement but well..uh...its more fun
Anyways your entitled to your opinion but whatever
(also.....I can never get into Jade Boring >.>)

For me Factions/Cantha is my favorite among the campaigns. Nice looking scenery, challenging mobs, best looking weapon skin are some of the few. I would really like to see another expansion that somehow features Cantha. We've already seen Northern Tyria in EotN. How about the south of Cantha for an expansion

I kinda think of Factions as a game that shouldn't have been released so early. The game itself feels like a trial game for Anet to draw some lines in PVE play. Yes the looked gates were rather annoying but it made you play the game, instead of skipping to the end to get free weps. Now today the weps arent worth the trouble but rewards for beating a game! What a revolutionary idea for Anet! Thats how they got alot of people to play through the game. Anet I think had alot of work left on Factions but I don't think it was a total loss. I love most of the scenery except for parts of the city. And it gave Anet lots of fresh ideas for the future campaighns to be more successful later on. I feel sad that Anet cut out Cantha but hopefully as one of the previous players mentioned, it might be an expansion where we have to go in and clean up the mess of Cantha again lol!
Btw Tyria is always my true Favorite of any of them (Can't beat an original)

bahh Prophecies is the campaign i like to play trough the least.... i eally HATE some of the bonuses in many of the missions XD ( especially those involving ghosts walking VERY slow and getting stuck into walls etc)
I think factions while not perfect was cool . I like the asian theme .. and AB is fun.. story line was rly meh ... >.>but could have definately been bigger.
But ultimately each campaign had its strong/weak points.

Personally, I thought the Nightfall weapon/armour were a lot better than the Factions stuff. You can't possibly complain about Nightfalls storyline in comparasion to Factions, and most of the missions in Factions were god awful. "Protect such and such", and "reach here in the time limit".
Also, the Heroes are the single best thing to have been added to GW.

this is a joke right? ask any vet in guild wars, that used to high end pvp, when the greatest time for pvp was in gws history. it was right when Factions came out. it was all of the great, powerful utility and elites of Factions, mixed with the solid base skills of Proph, that allowed massive diversity, making GvG/HA totally unpredicitible and exciting. You wouldnt see the same team in maybe 10 matches, and builds were always getting better.
once NF came out, the powercreeps led to static melee mashing defense, and hex overloads, causeing everyone to pretty much either play one of 2 builds, or else you couldnt even stand a chance to survive the meta.

Many agree that Factions had some of the best missions in the game along with Proph, and i dont think i've ever heard anyone liking nearly any of the slow, boring, meaningless missions of NF. I rather play Chos HM, (which makes sense in the story), and have a timer, than play "go find Melonni.. shes having nightmares that uh.... are a... bad omen? or... uh.. she thinks nf is coming.. ah crap.. even though anyone with eyes can see the demons.. oh.. oh just go save her....".
also, im not the only one who plays GWs that feels as though the TEAM game lost most of its strong TEAM community when Heroes were added. it was like a boot kicking all cooperation of the casual players out the window.

Correction, Aussie PvP is deader than Elvis. I'm surprised anything lasts long with you Aussies as you seem to get bored quite quickly. Poor John Howard!
