Someone tried to sell me a white dye for 100g the other day. I felt bad for him, so I told him to go check the dye trader. His only reply was "HOLY CRAP." He then proceeded to offer it to me for 1.7k since that was half the selling price of the dye trader (I didn't take the time to explain that one to him). So I say, "How about 2k?" And he says sure.
Now, this was either an incredible attempt to make me feel sorry for him, and therefore, offer him more than it was worth, or he was just a newb and didn't know any better.
Either way, I felt like I helped him and got some cheap(er) dye. I lol'd for almost twenty minutes after.

This one isn't trade related, I was just whispered out of the blue.

I see a lot of "WTB ur mom" and stuff. I once put my soul up in Party Search, but the best offer I got was like 10g, plus a lot of holy rollers jumped on me about the morality of what I was doing.

The really silly thing is the lengths some people go to protest the whole "q = requirement" thing. Give it up already, it's in every bloody thread related to trades, pet peeves, or funny stories I've read in this forum. You're not going to get people to use "r"
|
Seeing r used in trade chat red or in the trade part of party search never caused any confusion for me. Or for others apparently. I see plenty of folks using r while selling in towns, which causes the q's look silly.
So I guess that goes both ways then, you're not going to get people who are happy to use the logical R to change to Q.
Edit: Also, after using r for req long time before any PvE ranks were in, I'm actually more likely to think r as req than rank when I see it used.

Ok so it's not trading, but I thought I'd share.
I really hope they were kidding.

A friend was giving me 100k once and accidentally gave it to the wrong person who, of course, logged off immediately.
I felt bad but she was kind enough to still lend me the 100k since the accident was on her account.

I remember someone selling a sword pommel of swordsmenshiP (with a capital P), though this was only because someone hassled his previous attempt had a t instead of the P and someone hassled him about it.

Saw someone running to Imperial Sanctum from K-Center for 10k.
Don't really know whether that's even possible.
