I would have agreed with you till this morning. Where I couldn't win a match, my builds weren't perfect but it was because of my teams. ALFKJDSALKDJFALK.
I'd get a team, where 2/4 people wouldn't have or use rez. Or not know what the hell is going on. Not interrupt or attack the right people. I'd face teams that have 1-2 monks on it when I had none. Teams that had anti melee and nothing I could do about it because remove hex on a warrior is silly.
Only way I could win is to keep failing till I got a monk on my team then by using an ele. Since the only way I can win in RA is if I use an ele and have a monk on my team. Most of the builds I used were spike builds, the mesmer one worked great but all my builds seem to depend on whether I get half decent people on my team or not.
I have the WORST luck ever when it comes to teams, seriously.

Lol, RA is where you go to relax. That arena is so much rock, paper, scissors it's silly. BTW-funniest thing ever was running the hamstorm to mess around, and winning 10 consec matches. Even funnier was that my teammates actually thought it was a good bar.

I try to run a build which won't depends of healing to work. Not saying I can win many times without a Monk on my team for too long.
Like, when I used to play Assassin, which are squishies and melee. Either I ran a build with lots of protection, or I'd go asscasting and try to kill their Monk before they kill me.
What I don't do is to run a build with 5-attack chain, no heal, no condition removal and expect to be of any help.

<3 RA people. They are retarded aren't they? Makes you want to smash your head in a waffle iron or perhaps a bear trap. Depends on your mood (clinically insane vs committed)

happens to the best of us :P
was in RA today, got an ele with a level 10 lion pet, and me and the monk on our team (the only two normal people) simply PMed each other and laughed about how insanely ridiculus the guy was, especially after our tenth win when he said "i wish i could have 2 pets, then if one gets stuck on something like a rock, the other could go in behind him".
we thought it was a joke lol.
managed to get 27 wins though lol. me (conjure SA sin), pretty good ZB monk, and 2 nukers. the other nuker was like.. death bombing with GoS and meteor shower, so i could fly in, rip off their monk, and our matches were over (and flawless), in about 20-25 seconds :P
but yeah, happens all the time. sometimes people that play in there dont even know what the point is, or how to play it lol.

You can go into RA with any class and win 10+? Right away? I would really like to know these solo 4 people builds.
Today was better, I went with W/P with spear attacks, got 2 monks on my team and won 13 in a row.
Then went after that, lost cause I had no monks. I cannot put Condition removal, hex removal and healing on that build because then it would gimp me beyond imagining.
I do not need a monk on my team, but if we do not have a monk my team needs to work together because if we don't we will lose. I know that in RA that's nearly impossible, but maybe if more people understood they'd try!
Also when using a warrior, if I come up against a mesmer/necro aimed at anti melee( HAPPENS OFTEN) and have no monk on my team, there's nothing I can do. I have to bend over and accept because nothing I could do would save me from that.

i dislike RA simply because the other team seems to always have able players, while you are stuck with a paragon that uses necromancer skills, a warrior with frenzy + HS and a ele with a pet + all with no rez apart from you...or even worse - rebirth/resurrect

Me too. The other team will have a prot monk, a good mesmer, an assassin, and a dervish.
My team will have me (usually mesmer), a Wammo who thinks mending will save him, a half-decent ranger, and A FREAKING 55 MONK WHO CAN'T DO JACK
I think I've said all I wanted to say here.

Yeah because aNet thought magerape shot was a fun skill and needed a buff ><. And people that are to stupid to hide behind an obstacle when they res teammates don't help much either.
You aren't going to res jack when you are standing next to a ranger with > 2 braincells.
