let me first apologize if this is posted in the wrong area.

I was hoping someone here might have information on beta testing for GW2. About the only info I can find is 'second quarter of 2008'. is there some type of sign up list, or a place to send your info to show why you would be a good tester?

I really don't want to miss out on this, and it's apparently less than 6 months away. I've tried to send an email to anet but they said they don't handle beta invites.

I'm 41, early retired (disability), so I have a lot of time to devote to the job! As of January my SSDI benefits should be finalized so brand new rig by February.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

No info yet.... just rumors as far as I know. The forums will light up to beat hell so you'll know. Just keep stopping in.

Err Balan. A WoW Clone?? Seems to me like you haven't played either game much as GW resembles WoW in well... It doesn't. The only thing that connects the two games is that they are both MMORPGs.

It's just the same old thing - game X includes a feature from game Y, and the developers of game X get accused of selling out, with no consideration that maybe the feature was just a generally good idea.

I'd posted that before I'd had my coffee, wait . . . there I've edited the original. Arena Net has made amends, see Gaile's post just below mine. I'm crossing my fingers that they are really innovating and have completely removed levels for GW2 opting for a more revolutionary system for content advancement.
