So, now if you are quoting anything I say please do not bring that up again as it is irrelevant and in fact I don't believe the argument you are trying to knockdown. I would be just as irritated if they said it was to be widely available, I was the very first and only person to purchase it and then they decided it was exclusive to my account. If exclusive things were why I played GW then I am the worst player on the planet, other than hats and a mini-varesh I have *none* of the exclusive stuff.

My beef is with how they portrayed it, how they answered threads, and finally how they informed us we were wrong. I didn't even bother to post until the whole thing about not actually using such and such word and we should have known. Up until then didn't really have much of an opinion on it one way or another, I rather assumed they would either stick to their guns or at least give a reason that wasn't both semi-dishonest and insulting at the same time (whether they meant it to be or not).

Of course, they have also only said that the BMP may be available at a later date (in fact, Gaile has been pretty adamant that they are simply thinking about it), that it will be a permanent option, or even that the weapons would be included (remember, in many of the adds for the BMP the items were always mentioned separately) - you all are assuming just as much as we did because that is what is strongly implied. I wonder if any of these assumptions (especially getting the nice weapons at the end) are wrong if the same people will be coming back and saying "Oh well, items are supposed to rare and we just want the mission"

Oh, and amusingly enough the Wintersday hats aren't exclusive to the event this year. And yes I know the reason and no I'm not complaining. Just pointing out that those sacred "exclusive" items aren't always that exclusive either. The main difference here is that it is simply an extra, not an attempt to get me to purchase something I normally wouldn't followed by calling me stupid.

Seems like you're the one bringing up the same points over and over.

The wintersday hat isn't a pernament thing, it's temporarily going to be giving out for an extended period due to the problems a lot of people had. Again. This isn't like they're giving out all the old hats to everyone, it's exactly the same as what happened during the Dragon Festival. They're just trying to make up for the fact a lot of people LOST their hat while playing because of the server issues.

I fail to see how this is so difficult for people to grasp.

Everyone who feels jipped for getting the BMP, thinking that it would be some kind of "collector's" item, it clearly wasn't, get over it. It's like you all signed up to be beta testers for the BMP, and they gave you 3 months to sign up by using the online store. After time was up, no one else could access the BMP or sign up for the beta "promotion" which is now exclusive to you (at least until the beta event is over), haha.

If they do offer it again I bet they'll give all the beta-testers something for their support, like a free mini-pet or rare skin "exclusive" to their account . lol

Wow, I got GWEN just to get the BMP. I didn't have GWEN and for an extra little bonus it was a good deal.

I don't understand all the whining bitching and moaning. If someone 6 months later saves a few bucks on something you paid more for, it's a good deal for them and not a slight to you.

Ok, that didn;t quite make sense due to GW:EN only being out a week or so before the BMP offer finished so that it coincided (to give people more of a reason to buy GW:EN at release through the ingame store)

Hey, I finally stopped one strawman, though I see another has reared it's head. You may want to re-read what I wrote and respond to what I said, not something you wish I had said because you find it easier to argue against.

Heh, I'm of the general opinion that I would like to see it re-released for a short period of time and have the items be exclusive to those of us promotion purchasers simply to see if all these reasons are true or not (because, as we all know it will be a permanent thing in the store and items are OK to have as exclusives, everyone just wants to play the missions)

There simply is no way to please everyone.

If they rerelease the BMP, those that currently have it will be angry that there nolonger have exclusive access to the cool weapon skins in it.

If they rerelease the BMP with out access to the weapons, then those that purchase it now will be mad they don't get the weapons.

If they do nothing people who choose not to or were not able to aquire it during its run in the online store will still come here to complain.

No matter what is or is not done somebody will be unhappy, and that is the biggest joke of all when you concider this is just a game.

The OP has a really good point. There are rumors about a new BMP promotion in the future, so, if you buy something in online store right now, what about if one week later the promotion appear?

BMP is killing online store sales!! hahaha! ArenaNet did it for money and now is losing money! LOL. Just release that BMP for free and everybody will be happy! (People with BMP access has nothing to complain, they already played it exclusively)

ROFL...paying real cash isnt something to complain about if they just give it away.
dont know what world you are from..but that isnt a smart idea at all, Anet wouldnt make money from promotions..keep in mind they employed real staff with real money to do the real work to bring you BMP..just to give away?
people would never bother with promotions and Anet would lose out.

It's not killing online store sales, it's just postponing them for a time, then making sure that the maximum amount of money is made when the promotion does come along. Rather than having a minimal amount of regular income, they will have maximum amounts of sporadic income. Having it just free, and not as any kind of purchase reward is just plain stupid.

alright, make the BMP available, but i want the money i spent on the c slots back. suddenly the BMP doesn't sound as appealing as when it was offered exclusively to those that purchased it.

if BMP becomes available, im sure many people in my situation will not participate in another promotion again. i know i won't
