Answering a math question everytime I zone into a town would get extremely annoying after about the 40th time I zone in would get pretty annoying. Kind of like how some forums have those stupid "type whats in the box" things when you log in.

Why? Rend Enchantments & too many interrupts.
Add some Enchant removal and Interrupts to all maps. Not so many that it would make the players crazy. The little Rend guys in UW can be killed with a couple of wand hits, but its still far too random for the bot to compensate for.
We all know that all of the best farm builds rely heavily on enchants. It may be a little tougher for us players to farm, but we can get around it, the bot can't.

2 problems here: the "Not so many that it would make the players crazy" is IMHO impossible to decide (where do you get this information from? GW forums which have only a limited portion of the population? the number of people not logging in anymore after this modification? etc.); bots will simply adapt. You're only shifting the trade-off for the botters, they'll have to introduce a bit of smart AI may be, but they'll adapt without problems. It may cost them more money initially, but then they'll get more by potentially going into the UW.
(on the other hand, I can see ideas for Anet in GW2: if you have a "bot suspicion number" associated to each character or account, you can use the above said method when this number gets too high to further test if the person is using a bot; make it a bit harder to see if the behaviour is repeatedly consistent and you may be able to spot bots more easily)

They make playing the game profitable then people wouldn't have to choose between doing nothing but farming, buying gold, or not having any nice stuff. Before if something drop rate was very low (elly sword for example) and you wanted one you could farm merch fodder to sell to make the money to buy from player but now you farm your little heart out and never make enough to buy the rere items and the price of the rares are the same as they were even though your income is lower due to the nerf. In the past anyone could farm trolls or whatever to make money..yes it took longer than farming ecto but also took less skill so anyone that wanted FoW could farm anything they wanted and get the armor or a weapon or whatever now only the people who luckily get a rare drop or 2 or the "pro" farmers can make any money that leads the rest of us to have the 2 choices of buy gold or dont have nice stuff.

How many people do you actually think are botting? Its a very minor segment of the guild wars player base. Furthermore, if what I have read is true the major botters who actually make a living off selling gold are all located in places like china where they can hire people at a dollar a day or less to supervise 50 bots. That means they should have no effect on the server load on the other continents since they aren't connecting to those. As to them buying accounts: the account was bought, someone paid for it obviously. Since they are selling it for ingame gold the buying player has to buy 2 accounts, 1 to give to the botter and 1 to take the gold from. Anet still profits.
Which brings in Anet more money:
1 regular player buying the game 1 time and never pays again.
a botter who buys 50 accounts, maybe gets 1 or 2 banned a month and buys them back?
A serious botter will always get around simple restrictions, and can take some account losses over time. A player who gets unfairly banned will never play again, and even if their ban is lifted they will be real pissed.

Bots cannot read and there would be say... 30 such questions and one would pop up at random each time you exit an explorable area. Even illiterate ppl would have the answer in front of them so they won't be cut off. If the question is answered incorrectly for 3 times, the client quits and the player must log on again.
I think this could cut bots down somewhat.
EDIT: I think this should have been in sardelac, not here.
