Tormented looks kickazz no matter where you are, but it wouldn't match silver/white dyed elite templar.

Tall shield
Darkwing Defender
(both of those match the plate design of the templar perfectly)

It depends if you care if others can see it. If not, then why not try something with textmod, there are many novelty and serious skins out there.

i personally prefer gloom shield, cuz it has Tac and str virsion, and it matches many armors imo

emblazoned defender would be a perfect match imo. even the name seems to scream "lets go vanquish evil".

on the subject of the shield, as dirty as i feel saying it, exalted aegis is the most "good guy holy" shield i can think of

And the Exalted goes better with Silver Eagle armor dyed green.

You cannot dye a torment shield can you? and if you can it will only make a slight difference to the outer edges of the shield and not change the animated areas.

Sugar-coating is not my strong point.

Echovald Shields are cool, too. I never got my hands on one, except the green one, but I don't want a green shield...

Green in colour that is.

I stand corrected, you cannot dye a tormented shield. Thank you for making me look that up. I still think it would look good, though.

I've been going for a similar look for my warrior. The Shield of the Wing looks great cuz it looks like a shield should, but it's not my favorite skin. The same goes for the Exalted Aegis... looks fine with the armor, but it's not my favorite skin. I used my Exalted Aegis for a long time, but got tired of looking at it. I finally had a Gloom Shield drop for me and use that now for something new... but it's not the look I want. I want a shield that looks like a shield... not a chunk of rock or tree or something that could poke my eyes out with all the points everywhere on it.

Good luck finding one you like... I've been playing my warrior since the game was released and haven't found a shield I really like... and I've tried many. Unless Anet releases a few new shields in the future, I'm afraid we may be out of luck.
