i feel like a dead batterie..
so over the past.... 5 months ive been playing guild wars. i feel like a big noob.
all i want is the money.
i once farmed 60k off of minitours outside icetooth cave normal mode just so i could get my rits max armour whites dyes tomes and such for her farming build.
then itry a few times HM farming.
too my surprise it doesnt work.
i really dont know what i want to do in guild wars.
i was thinking of just pvping for z-keys... but even that gets frustrating.
soo heres my question.
what did YOU do when you found yourself stuck in my position, If you ever were.

Find a new game to play, I only get on GW for updates.
Next skill update that will come I'll probably play for about 3-5 days. Mostly RA to test the skills, then move on again.

Yeah, pretty much. I then found the reason I wanted to return and did. Repeat ad infintum, since GW PvE is a limited style game revolving largely around skins. There's only so much development of a character you can accomplish in that setting. It becomes more about the people you are playing with in your guild at some point, and your friends in game, than much of anything else.
I love the game dearly, made many friends, have been in two great guilds and spent a great deal of time with the people in them. For me I guess it always came down to that eventually. When I wasnt in a guild or they werent online, I pugged and had great experiences and some of my best times in game (yeah, really).
Set a goal. For a while it was income, so I made millions, spent millions, made millions more. It then became titles. Both activities are a sort of farming imho, so just set a goal and work towards it, and enjoy the people you are playing with, or find some with whom you do.
I miss it, but, alas, my PC is no more, so I am done. :P I'm a mac person - not buying a new PC just to game on.
Anyway, to the OP - take a break. You'll find the reason you want to come back. Only way I havent come back from a "retirement" is this time, where I have a technical reason I cannot.

Take a break from the game, work on Hall of Monuments, titles, etc. I am working on KoaBD title track with a guildie of mine. 52% done vanquishing Tyria so far, 4 Max titles. Soon to be 10.

There really isnt much point in money at this stage in the game, the economy got killed off by anet, duping managed to finish anything high-end off completely.
Gotta agree with the people saying stop playing, ive not really played for longer than 30min for a good 2 months now, the main reason is that all the people i play with stopped playing aswel.

Look for other farming build - NM builds often do not work HM farming but if farming is what you enjoy there are spots you can do it. Unlike NM farming, however, the different areas often take different builds in HM. It can be fun to find new areas to farm with new builds.

If you want money, get a smite solo UW build and learn it. Or a GW:EN material farm build... destroyer cores, relics, etc... It's actually so easy to make money now it will bore you soon enough because there's nothing to buy.

Guild Wars is not WoW. It was not designed to be crack to keep you playing, because it does not benefit Anet for you to play non-stop, only to play for awhile when the new Chapter/Expansion comes.
Play another game for awhile.
