It depends, in terms of actual usefulness the only one i can think of is Herta.

However Talon is brought constantly because i just like tengu, don't know why.

Mhenlo if only for the "you got Mhenlowned!!!!!" cry when beating something big with him in the team.

I'd hafta give a three-way tie for Devona, Mhenlo, and Cynn. I find them as permanent members of my party whenever they are available.

I don't take a necro hench since that's a profession I'd rather customize with a Hero.
