Have never had a req 7 or 8 drop for me in over 2 years worth of playing. But I was given a req 7 max gold Skeleton shield (req 7 tactics, -2 while in stance, +43 while enchanted) by a very old friend who was and Ele and I don't think he really knew what he had

Has been my shield of choice since then.

I have never gotten a req 8 item as far as I can remember.

I once got a req7 celestial shield about 3 months after Factions came out. Horrible mods tho

umm seence when how can i have a req 7,8 max storm bow then. i farmed uw alot as a ranger for over a year.

so you cant tell me they never dropped , not sure if they satill do for i havent not seen anyother then those 2 ever

when r7 did exist [that was b4 nightfall], they could only exist if the skin of the weapon could be max dmg and nonmax dmg at the same time [2 different weapons, same skin found from same area]. in this case, such things like r7 [gold crystalines] never existed (or the chance was like 1/1000000000), but r7 crystalines that were purple [noninscribed] were possible (from the SF area). btw i dindt read the entire post so i dont know if anyone posted this idea

I've gotten a fair amount of req8 AL16 tactics shields in Factions, mostly blues, though (and non-inscribable).

Lowest req for max/gold items are as follows:

Sword - 7 (Core weapon)
Axe - 7 (Core weapon) <~~Very rare
Hammer - 7 (Core weapon) <~~Very rare
Shield - 7 (Core weapon)
Bow - 8 (Core weapon)
Staves - 7 (Core weapon) <~~Extremely rare. Seen 1.
Offhands - 8 (Core weapon)
Daggers - 8
Scythes - 9
Spears - 9

Can't remember ever seeing a max/gold req7 offhand, but could be wrong. The rest are 100% correct though.

Don't know if, when you say "core", you are distinguising between core skins and non-core skins, or if you're just pointing out that in genneral those items are core items, but... for your viewing pleasure... not core skins but offhands non-the-less.

And unless I am mistaken, which is entirely possible, (or it was a fake) I could swear I recall seeing a max r7 bow about a year or so ago in Ventari's.

Earth isn't worth very much. Now FIRE on the other hand would be worth a pretty penny. Earth elementalists are few and far between and I think it is because there just aren't enough good DD spells in the earth line. Earth is more armorish to me and I only use it occassionally for pvp play in FA or AB.

Core = original weapons from the first game. Thats some nice offhands. As for the req7 bow, I seen that posted also, bit it was never confirmed.

Jk but thanks never saw req7 foci before, although i would imagine foci and shields are easiest to get a req lower than par (since max for focus is 12 and for shield is 16, as compared to other stuff)

Weirdly, last night I got 2 req 8 energy storage prisms. One just white, the other blue with a slot. Very odd, they dropped from the same group lol. Doubt they're worth anything really, but thought it was strange.
