ANet has seen fit to finally reinstate my account after getting banned from the mallyx exploit.
My hats off to the ANet staff for reviewing their decision on this, seems like persistence paid and the fact that they finally saw what I meant in my posts here on the subject when the thread was open and also from my comments in ticket.
I had actually resigned to the fact that I wasn't going to get my account back to the extent I signed up for wow but since GW is back I can save myself a few dollars.
Their finally email from the ticket is as follows..

Thank you for your patience as we reviewed the appeal you submitted regarding your account suspension. As you know, while we react firmly to game exploits, we also want to give every consideration to extraordinary and individual circumstances. It is never our objective to take overly-harsh action in response to issues or player choices within the game. Instead, we take only the necessary and appropriate measures that best protect the game environment, the game economy, and our player community as a whole.

In the interests of kindness, we have determined that a very small number of accounts will be reinstated, based on a low level of involvement with the exploit and the improbability that they gained exceptional wealth in items or gold in using it. In reviewing visits to the outpost as well as entries into the mission itself, your account is one that we will be reinstating. You should be able to access the account using this password: youdontthinkimgoingtotellyouthatdoyou?

Please be aware that we take this and every exploit seriously. While we are showing a certain level of clemency in a few cases this time, we may choose to act with more absolute measures in the future, up to and including adopting a policy that precludes any reinstatements whatsoever. We encourage you to always contact us if you have been told about, observed, or have reason to believe you may have discovered a game exploit. As always, if you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact us.

Well I'll say guilt is either a true/false black/white yes/no type thing. The severity of the punishment is all that was changed.

Anyways with that said congrats on getting your account back.

i hate hackers :P so u better not be one er else i just wasted my somewhat niceness

But to be clear...you were guilty of the exploit, A-Net just decided to show you some leniency since the extent of your involvement wasn't as severe as others.

I never denied I was there I denied the fact that I never gained through it in any way, shape or form. My posts in the 117 thread never suggested otherwise either. Leniency shown in these cases is gratefully appreciated.
