Being ditched is a part of gaming, anywhere id say :-(
You just got to get over it and move on.
I have started doing HA, and wow you need patience for that, it can take me up to 40mins to get a team and even then they are never good because i am only rank 1 and people who are of higher rank dont want to take me because they think i cant play! I hate that ignorance but if i want to get anywhere i got to be patient and let it pass.
I can understand why, if people do the same thing over and over to farm, and they pick up someone who hasnt done it like they have, it slows them down and frustrates them, just as they frustrate you, they dont want to waste time, so they leave to get a better group.
Yes it may be rude, but thats how it goes, your best bet is to practice or go with friends.
I remember back in the good ole days of FoW farming, a whammo in our group had a shard drop and died strait after. We purposely didn't res and eventually took his shard then carried on with the mission leaving him dead.

I had something happening to me in a similar way - playing monk for a 444 run when I had no idea I had to res the necro through the portal. Asking questions to see if I had to take any skill, if my bar could be modded and if I had to do anything specific... never got a reply. Never found the info on the net either. In one of those groups I joined, I went in my room straight away and I bet more than half of the party left even though I asked if I had any specific role to play (which doesn't take 20 minutes to explain that you gotta res the necro through the portal).
Yes I didn't know, but I did make the effort of asking and trying to find the information which was, at the time, unavailable. Therefore, when I do something wrong, I'd like to know it... because sometimes I don't/can't even realize it.
Oh BTW I've waited 1.5 to 2 hours for people for Urgoz, and I bet people have waited even longer. So 15 minutes is nothing.
Just saying...... Isn't the Obby tank the puller? In all my groups he is.
Yep, the ranger meanwhile finds a nice spot to make his spirit(s) and waits patiently with the nukers till the tank has aggroed and slowed the monsters with something like grasping earth or ward against foes.
i actually did use a longbow, the problem is that I notice my entire didn't went out and help the tank and the tank rage leave. I doubt heroes and hench work there, as heroes have hard time syngerying their skills.
Listen, I'm not trying to be elitist, but I H/H all of the dungeons in Slavers, including Duncan right after I finished EOTN some months ago. It is doable - you just have to set up your team properly and know how to pull and prioritize targets (I never flagged all heros individually). Now, a good PUG will breeze through much faster and can be a lot more fun, but we all know how common good PUGs are....
I suggest you spend some time learning how to do it yourself - you will probably learn a lot in the process of figuring out what works and what doesn't. And that will pay off in everything you do in the game
If someone don't want me in their party, it's because they are either bad players or because they only use cookie cutter builds and kick anyone that do not join with the build they want ready.
If someone wants me to use a certain build I don't know, they have to give me the template. If they don't, they should let me use the build I think it would be better based upon other party members builds and the enemies we are going to face. Something not everyone understands...
I have all skills but some Paragon, Assasin and Dervish ones with my main character, so I can set even the weirdest builds.
With my monk, I'm specially touchy. I'm not the one kicked, I'm the one that /sit and watch people die if they do not play properly or make me mad.
For example, once I joined a PUG in Raisu Palace as WoH healer, I asked if someone was bringig enchantmenr removal, and warned the protector and the warrior about the sliver armor.
What they did? The one with the enchant removal focused on the Shiro'ken monks, to remove the Spell Breaker. ANYONE that knows the Shiro'ken builds knows that they are not healers, they are protectors, and not a very good ones, they only use the Spell Breaker on themselves. They are not a threat. Nor something to kill first. The warrior focused in the Elementalists with sliver armor, and the protector was healing the Necromancer instead of buffing the tank to reduce damage.
¬¬
When the warrior died after using again and again wis tripple and wirlwind axe skills against 3 Shio'ken elementalists, while the elementalsit was using various multi-hit spells at the same time, he blamed me of letting him die.
Indignant, I just ignored the criticisms, and then I /sit and went to my kitchen to pick something to drink. When I was back, they were still fighting, and they didn't even noticed I was not healing anymore. Of course, I just left after that.
I never met a worse pug in my entire life, and never had to quit like that again, and, geez, I hope never get into a pug like that again.
Maybe you made a mistake or maybe you didn't. The game community can be filled with idiots who may well have screwed it up themselves and blamed other people, knowingly or not.
Move on anyway, it happens, the internet is anonymous and full of rudeness, including team kicks with little explanation or chance to defend yourself.
Guild: Type like an idiot, I'll treat you like an idiot
Profession: E/Me
Well, Raisu palace brings the worst of the worst. It's Faction's version of THK. Then again, quite recently, I saw a monk in beginner's armour, only healing prayers, (if you're going to rush in with beginner's armour, have the decency to go Protection prayers) and a pet with a res skill for it. Sparks of the Titans one hit killed her repeatedly. God knows why she had two superior runes and no vigors to counter that, either.
two sup runes and starter armor? omg. How in the hell would someone even GET to RP with that?! Impossible I say! lol but the only kick I've ever had that actually pissed me off was a team that kicked me for not running a particular cookie cutter they wanted without even asking me if I could change. Which, I would have just to shut the wanks up. The build ping crap ALSO killed Pugs.. most people blame heroes. I think it was everything at once.
With the way GW is played, PuGs will always suck. The only way to make PuGs viable is to dumb down the game to a point where you can do anything with empty skillbars. And judging by what I see in most random players builds, they should be running with just that, an empty bar. (and a rez) =P
I havent had experience quite as bad as the OP's, but then again it's because I had experiences similar the couple times I tried to join PUGs and quickly decided it was Heroes and Henchies FTW.
Even if you were the best player out there and knew all Slaver's Exile dungeons like the back of your hand, to think that waiting 15 minutes is long is ..well, laughable. I have been in groups that waited for like 2 hours to get one person.
And you don't think wasting... errr waiting two hours for something so unproductive as playing through in a game is laughable?

I doubt YOU will be able to H/H Forge or Selve, so I think your best bet is to try to figure out what could have gone wrong and try to fix it.
If he can't H/H Forge and Selve, I'll be happy to show him how. I found them a bit of a challenge but quite doable in one try... and I'm a casual player.

His point was "15 minutes isn't long by a lot of people's standards", not "I waited 2 hours frothing at the keyboard waiting for the INSTANT someone showed up!" I've done it in WoW before, I sat there chatting and watching TV for an hour and a half before the group started on one of my days off.
OP, my guess is that you started firing before the tank had the monsters rounded up and snared and that caused a broken aggro, which pissed everyone off. It could be that you broke the aggro, or it could be that the tank pulled wrong and it was going to break anyway. If you try again, the best thing you can do is make damn sure not to attack until the tank calls grasping earth/ward against foes -- that way you can be sure you're not the one causing any aggro breaks that happen.
