How do you deathlevel a phoenix? If you die then you warp out of your hall?

I assume you can't.

I learned the other day that you can't deathlevel a white moa outside of Olafstead, either. When you use Charm on them, they don't go hostile. They just stay green and keep running.

PLEASE someone correct me if I'm wrong. Leveling a hero's pet to Aggressive is annoying! ^_^

since they didnt give you a time line, I dont see it happening really soon. I am sure they have many 'known issues' that they 'are working on' --and have been since nightfall came out! (just wander thru the bugs section, geesh lots of stuff they are 'working on'...)

however, I hope they fix this for your sake soon.....

Isn't the phoenix level 20 when you get it? Why would you have to level it up? But as for the bug or whatever it is, can't say I know what's up with that but I do hope they get it fixed. Hoping to get a phoenix for my second account.

i leveled mine just by vanquishing. it was added in fine. and my pet died many times =[

Imperial Phoenix is level 5 when capped..!!

Yes, NOW when you cap a phoenix they are level 5. Originally when factions first came out you charmed them at lvl 20.

My ranger still has hers.

it's vice-versa. rainbow phoenixes get the generic pet statue, imperial phoenix get's a special one. which is lame.
imo all pets should get thier own statue depicting what they actually are. i love my "non-elite" pets too

My stalker and I QFT... I'd much rather see a big beautiful stalker up there alone than with those two other pets I wouldn't consider.

It's been awhile since I capped one for Pyre, but iirc that's true. Have you tried to turn one hostile by attacking it rather than by using charm animal? I wonder if that would work.

EDIT Saturday afternoon:

I answered my own question. J just tried to attack one of the white moas that finally spawned in Varajar Fells, and I couldn't. I could only 'talk to' it. Oh well.

I had a similar problem where only Dire pets would be added. Death levelling shouldn't matter, because I death level a lot of pets (but not all, and those ones added also). I figured it was probably just a glitch. I just capped new pets and brought them with when Vanq'ing and that seemed to do it or me.

That's Rainbow Phoenixes (which amazingly don't even get a unique statue!), Imperial Phoenixes can be death-leveled. I know, I've done it.

i think rainbow phoenix living in HoM is much better then having a statue..IMO

C'mon ANet...fix this

Mine just did the same thing....it took me maybe 5 hours play time or something to get to level 20, but I really don't want to do it again just because of some bug....

I suppose I'll keep him until its fixed...not like my warrior needs a pet anyways....
