No matter what situation I am in (mostly H/H anyways), whether it be in town, in a explorable, or in a mission, I do one thing. I can always restart. No mission is SO hard that its worth the stress of an e-peen ahole.

I strip down (I am a male, female will not work as well because of the immaturity of aholes that do this in the first place), and then "hump" them.

100% success rate. Its super effective when they /report you for it. Apparently even your online avatar must be homophobic.

couple days ago i was tanking duncan quest and got flamed by some child because i had a rubberband lag. i guess he thought i did it on purpose. i told the party to remember who's fault it was right before i left like 5 minutes away from duncan. i think i laughed for like 5 minutes while i went and got something to eat

OP: Lots of factors involved... but overall I'd say if a blowhard is ruining your game, say goodbye, in the manner you prefer, and try another group.

No matter how good you are, or think you are, an attitude like that makes you a loser in my book.

I normally listen to what they say, and do an evaluation as to (1) they are suggesting something that may improve my game or (2) determine that they want me to conform to what they want me to do, without regard as to whether it is better or not.

If it is the latter, I simply put them on ignore and go about my business. There's no need to be bitter towards someone that may be half my age...especially when you're playing the game to have FUN.

Honestly, listening to people may be the best way to get better at the game. When you slice through the condescending tone, every once in a while you pick up a nice nugget of information that you might not have considered. This is an invaluable skill to learn, especially in PvP.

Nothing wrong with being egotistical in GW to a certain extent.

Simple fact: 99% of PUGs in GW are horrendously terrible at playing the game. A player who is semi-competent or better at playing the game will always be a million times better than any average PUG player. To acknowlege this is simply calling a spade a spade. It may be "egotistical", but it's simply reality. To pretend PUG players are on par with decent players would be to deny reality, and open one's self to aggravating, failure-based gameplay. This form of egotism is not wrong.

Question in the OP should not be how to deal with egotistical players. Question should instead be, how to deal with really bad players who wanna PUG with good players and leech off of their skills, despite the bad players not having a sane, semi-decent skillbar to make their occupation of a party slot worthwhile. How to deal with that is simply not to play with any PUG players ever.

Although there is a second form of egotism in GW, this form in which the aforementioned horrible PUG players try to dictate to the good players how to play. That second form of egotism is wrong. The solution is the same either way. Never play with any PUG players, ever.

Usually these people suck pretty bad, and if by the rare chance it's when I'm monking in PvE (usually with guild, getting like 1-2 pugs), we all agree not to heal that person or rez them. Thats about it. If they start PMing me, /ignore.

If I am playing as my monk, I do nothing to help them and watch them die.
