Happened with me as well a while ago. We had 1 monk (an infuser, only healer) and won vs IV spike in ~1,5 mins

I've had some weird ones. I've been in like 4 different guilds before I found a good one, so I've played just about everything.

In RA. 2 Healing Monks, me included and 2 Bonder Monks against a Sin, Dervish and Warriors, one of which used a combo of Heal Breeze and mending. The Assasin and Derv gave up and started dancing and the warriors beat on us until we wanded their teammates to death at which point they promptly left. Got 9 wins from that team, mostly from people who couldn't be arsed to play against us.

Fort Aspenwood, 6 Touch Rangers Uber-Touch-Spiked the hell out of Gunther. Battle lasted a good 4 minutes tops.

Costume Brawl(Is that PvP?) I played against a team of 2 Sins and 2 Warriors vs. 2 Sins and 2 Warriors. At the end it was tied, but we still won for some reason and one of the Sins spammed All Chat with "Noooooo!" until they were disbanded.

AB Battle. I was a mesmer and I did an Ineptitude/Arcane Echo spike on a warrior who proceeded to shout in all caps about "Mesmers can't do that! You must be a hacker!" Sad thing was he was using Frenzy/Healsig with Healing Breeze. WTF is with the warriors and Healing Breeze?

GvG. Nothing special except the monk who brought Vengeance as a Res skill and we fought a bunch of mesmers with shatter enchantment. I've never seen a more Epic Failure than that.

More stories to come, when I dig up my screenies of said events.

My first and last guild GvG match...

We only had 6 people and 2 hench and no clue what we were doing.

After the match started no one on my team knew how to open the gate(this was in 2005 fyi) and the opposing team was certain we were using some expert stratagey against them.

In the end we ventured out, long after they had +10% moral boost, and began to fight. I launched myself at thier monk, with my war/monk smite build and preceded to lay down the damage. The monk stood still and self heal as he kept his entire party alive for the short duration it took them to wipe out all of my team.....

When the guild lord finally died the other guild actually was very polite and said we showed good skills, though we had a few things to learn about GvG.

Unfortunately we tried a few training sessions in the Team Arena and were laughed at and ridiculed leading to most of our guild refusing to do any PvP at all. We've been a PvE guild ever since.

Way back when, we (LOL) were facing Te and noticed Kriegar (on Ele) wasn't wearing any armor (I heard he was screwing around while waiting for a match). We in turn, spiked him out two or three times in a row (relatively quickly...no armor after all).

We would later learn Te's Monks were raging at him and wondering why he was dying so fast :P.

Good times. Even better than Kriegar killing himself with Heal Party with 3 or 4 Scourge Healings out there.

My old guild ran a 6 monk 2 assassin team for gvg. Part that sucked was I didn't load on my sin, so it was 1 sin 6 monks. Funny part is they still managed to win it in 8minutes flawless.

I once put the wrong elite skill on my monk and proceeded to go on a GvG rampage... which we kept losing. Took me about 5 matches to realize what I had done.

I blamed it on being over-worked. But that was really only an excuse.

The Charter Vanguard, has held a couple of prank GvGs, and while we've done so many wacky things in our time, I wouldn't exactly call this 'strange', but possibly strange to some.

Naked Dancing Mesmer GvG
We created a bunch of male mesmers, stripped to the underwear, positioned ourselves locked hand in hand, and did the Riverdance. We went into two or three GvGs that way, dancing right in front of the Guild Lord. If any of us were killed, we'd grumble at the world's lack of appreciation of art, and how art is only recognized after the artist is dead, therefore we would die martyrs lol.

The Holy GvG
We created a bunch of monks, males and females; each with protection and healing spells and an irritating little spell called Pacifism. We faced our enemies seated, advocating peace, love and kindness towards others. If we were attacked, we would heal and protect, and tell them to stop fighting and make friends. If they continued to attack, we would cast Pacifism on them. Needless to say the other team got irritated and told us to shut up, all except their guild leader, a female, who giggled and told us her birthday was in two weeks. We began singing happy birthday to her while her members continued to attack us and we continued to heal each other. I guess she was pretty touched, because when her guildies began yelling vulgarities at us, she chided them. And after the whole fiasco, whispered us to tell us she'd kicked the members in her guild who'd been rude to us. So we invited her into our hall, danced with her and gave her birthday presents. heh

I was once playing either thumper or iway war in HA. We killed all their players except 1 who started running around (He had some defensive stance). None of us were dead. My team mates started doing foolish things, emotes and dancing. The 1 guy rezzed another and they rezzed each other so all 8 were alive. Then we got our ass kicked. I was unhappy and rage quit.

The other time my cuz was playing RA as a war. Everyone died, except 2 war's on opposing teams. All the dead players left after 2 mins. The 2 war's went at each other for 90 minutes, then the other war left. My cuz then lost the next game.

in AB a while back, running towards the Lux rez and suddenly notice nature spirit effects stating to pile up on me.

one single ranger camping the shrine with 8 nature rituals, horrible.

In RA, a warrior in my team cast Mending. The other two flamed him and he left. The two flamers then left because we were 1 player down, leaving me on my own. I told the other team in Local chat I was alone and demanded they surrender. They lol'ed me, I told them to surrender again and they left one-by-one giving me a flawless victory.

In FA, once had a necro on the team who constantly sang songs in Local chat. Even when he was fighting, he was able to throw out lyrics.

An embarassing time in FA. I was on the Kurzick side and we weren't doing too good. Luxons were all over the place and gates were dropping. I went down one side and saw it was clear of enemies and we could run amber. I decided to tell the team, accidently doing so in Local chat without realising. When a group of us went there to run amber, there was a gang of Luxons waiting for us. They thanked me for setting up the ambush.
