Just done this in Hard mode (without NT) with H/H took a few goes but was'nt too bad. Just defend the ghost until the boss attacks and then after that no more mobs come and you get about 5 mins to kill the generals, dont worry about the wurms as they dont seem to be able to reach the ghost.

Puts hand up,
A long time ago on a dune far far away...
Yes you can still do it with 3 minutes to go, and defeat all three bosses. At 3 minutes to go there are no more enemies. Just steam roll em.
or URSAN! EM...

Whenever you kill one of the generals it spawns a group that goes after the ghostly. You can learn where those groups spawn and aggro them before taking out the next general.
You can also pull one of the generals prior to killing the ghostly. However unless that general has a means of attacking you it'll eventually run away out of reach.

I have completed Mission+Bonus several times in the same run without using Necrotic, or similar techniques. I have done it even without bonding the ghost. It's called a split - usually 2/4.
On a side note, technically I could truthfully say I have never done it with necrotic at all, even though I have used that technique once or twice. (Consume Corpse)

I did this easy with H/H.
Followed the mission as normal and after beating the first boss I took off for the last two. Didn't even bother leaving Dunk to babysit the ghostly. I easily overwhelmed them and even have time to get back and heal our ghostly if I need the actual mission done.

QFT.
You can take out the first general around the 7 min mark and head back to the ghostly. Then take out the SE general around the 4 min mark and kill the mob that spawns which leaves enough time for the last general.

What I did. Leave a monk back after you clear the opening waves and storm the Generals with the other 5 players.

I've done this mish and bonus without NT twice, both times I flaged my monk and MM heroes a the ghostly hero, brought an ele hero, war and monk hench with me to the 3 bosses. Hardest part for me was getting to the first boss *the bugs popping up and a few groups running into the temple from that exit*. On my sin, I beat it first try, with 5 min to go. With my para, took 2 tries for the bonus, got it with about 4 min left.

Never done it with NT, how do you do it with NT?
LAst time i did it i just stayed back with my war and a Hero monk for a bit, then went and helped tear the bosses apart.

Umm.. I got masters on this ages ago and did it with a very inexperienced group. Its quite easy, you just need enough firepower to mow down the mobs fast enough.

Yep, I did it with one other human + heroes a while back. We killed a few of the forgotten groups that run in to the ghost and then my parner took the heroes and went for the Generals while I stayed behind to keep Mr Ghost alive. I was a Restoration Ritualist.
As for Hard Mode, only done it once, and I did use Necrotic Traversal that time, and happily enough, managed to get back inside the base to finish the mission and bonus in one run after I'd killed the generals.

However the funniest thing happened to me. I only had traversal on myself (ranger) and a healer, and was planning to take on the bosses using only this setup. It wasn't working out so good, up until the point I saw the rest of my H/H team running towards the flag I had set for the monk.
Either this was an enormously useful glitch, or the henchmen know of secret paths in this mission we don't :/

It's a glitch, I've seen it happen before.

Yup! We left a prot monk standing on the other side of the Ghostly out of aggro range while we went to kill the last groups! This was ages ago and we did it again not to long ago too! (We being me and guildies)
Going to have to do the NT soon though - need to map out the last bits for Carto and the HM mission for Guardian!

Many, many year ago with the aid of a VERY good monk and some others who was able to keep the ghost hero alive.
There is only really 2 ways to do it....
1) Nectrotic as you said.. which doesnt always work as the bosses dont always spawn close enough..
2) A monk and half the team keep the ghost alive, while the other half kill the bosses.
Ive done both! I even did it once where we used the necrotic trick, but only myself and another person teleported and we nuked the bosses to hell.
Apparently it was quite a site from the wall to watch meteor shower raining down on them!
How ever if your doing it in Hard Mode, you simply cant do it without necrotic in my opinion.
Also you can't explore that area unless you use nectrotic too! So using nectrotic gives the opportunity to explore that mission map too.
