I don't need to "earn" gold - I have quite enough for my needs and I'm quite capable fo getting more, if I want it, by other means than vanquishing. I said that this was not about the "QQing/moar gold plox/ktnkxbai" litany - this was an observation about the sense of reward for vanquishing an area, any area, at all levels of the game. The sense of "yeah that was worth it - look at the neat bonus I got for 1/2/3 hours of completing an area".
The Dungeons in EotN have a chest that spawns on completion of the whole dungeon - vanquishing gives you a monetary reward in relation to the XP you earned. Which one (aside from this weekend special) gives you the best "kick" eh?

Increase gold rewards to 3x the amount. That might make people want to go out and do it. I think a chest should spawn when you become a Vanquisher of X Continent in the last zone you vanquish. That would be neat.

The reason why no one appreciates the rewards is that all the complainers make their money by farming.
News flash: Farming is not gameplay. It's exploiting certain areas with certain skills.

I think they should remove the exp and gold rewards for vanquishing. Vanquishing should be its own reward: greedy people need not apply.
Not that I care any more, now that hard mode has been ruined due to certain PvE skills.

Once a continent is Vanquish, there should be Domination Mode.
All Mob are neutral to you, unless you attack first, all bosses are hostile with massive stat buffs, and a much increased aggro range.

I enjoyed this weekend - I vanquished 5 zones and the rewards felt just about right, for the time involved. I was getting 2-3K for the reward and a total of 3.5-5K after selling all the junk. For 1-2 hrs slog, that doesn't strike me as a farmers income, it seems like a pretty normal amount of cash.
If they keep the double reward, then I'll vanquish more. Otherwise, I'd sooner not bother. The title (like all titles) really doesn't mean anything to me and the activity (with the normal reward) usually doesn't feel like time well spent.

Ok, damn, I will take the bait - then go and play the game.
SO: EPO Bot and others say I must vanquish to make money (because, you know, my Character has finished all campaigns and all quests so no gold income there anymore, and we all know that loot scaling and drops suck in normal play now) - I may not farm.
YET: Esan and others says I should get no monetary reward for vanquishing. I'm just being greedy.
Contradictory or what? Go figure.
And Jongo River - thats exactly my sentiment.

even at double its not worth it unless you want the title.....and I dont really care about that particular one so its meh at best. I can get more gold doing other things that take less time and I dont need the xp....(and yes the drops in hm are no better than the ones in nm minus a tome drop every couple of months)

It's fine as is. If people don't want to do something because they feel the reward isn't enough then so be it.
Then again wealth is rather pointless so it doesn't matter anyway what the rewards are.

The cash bonus is pretty worthless. In the time it takes to vanq an area, you could probably run CoF 2 to 4 times for a guanteed 1.5k each time plus drops and chest rewards. Also a chance to get relics and chalices which are worth more than 90% of any gold or purple drops which you usually find.
The xp bonus is also a joke. I doubt that by the time people get round to vanquishing that anyone is in particular need for more xp, except maybe survivors. And there are far better methods for that.
Still, I'd give up all bonus rewards (xp and gold) for an arrow that points you to the next nearest enemy after you've killed say 95% of all monsters in an area. It's vanquishing, not hide and seek. And that is the main reason why I can't be bothered with the vanq title track.

/signed I would like to have the extra money from vanquishing all the time. It's a bit of a grind and the drops are not that much better than in NM so the extra reward makes it a bit more doable.

But actually, the act of having vanquished an area should be reward enough... I am an idealist.

They could make Vanquishing Books for additional rewards, similar to the Dungeon and Hero book but the rewards could be the new skins from the Design-A-Weapon contest, maybe?

but obviously there are people that are vanquishing that arn't as fortunate as you, like me, and some meaningful amount of money would make 2 1/2 hours of vanquishing worth it.

I vanquished Cantha, it made me enough cash and had enough half decent drops/chests to fully pimp out my heroes (well, sensibly pimp them anyway). A few of them have end-game greens or BMP weapons, but they have the head/wrapping/inscription etc. that I want for them after the vanquishing.
Yes it takes a while, but it became a real social thing. 4 of us from the guild went out and did a new zone when we were all on. Had a laugh with friends and made a little cash and got some reasonable drops on the side.
I don't think that vanquishing for money is the right attitude. Vanquishing is something to do when you've completed all the campaigns and (perhaps like me) are waaaay too bad at pvp to take on that challenge.
