Destroyer gauntlets disapointment
Ok, yesterday i decided to spend all my money on getting a pair of destroyer gauntlets for my necro. so i spent at least 5 hours and 80 something k to get them, but finally when i got them i realized u had just wasted my time and money...
My necro has the 15k bonelace(think its called cabal or sumthin now) from citadel, which has netting on the arms down to the gloves, and when i equiped the destroyer gauntlets, my character look like a dumbass cuz the netting abruptly stops, however i noticed on the elementalist 15 flameforged, which has the same netting on the arms, the netting continues furthur down when wearing the gloves, making the character look cool and not like a dumbass.
Now i really dont think that is very fair seeing as the both have the same netting on the arm but necromancers are forced to look like idiots.
yeah i guess this was just a rant at Anet for proffesion discrimination, just wondering if anyone expireinced anything similar?

So you spent all your money without doing a minimum of research? Gloves not meeting up to armor properly is a very well known issue. QQQQ

Sorry, but QFT. The information is out there and you could have avoided the issue easily.

Unfort it is the case that there are quite a few clipping problems with the specialty gloves and armors, most of which are posted on either the armor set's page or the specialty armor's page on the wiki. As many of us have seen though Anet has been correcting some of these issues recently, one can hope that your current plight is one of the ones that are corrected sooner than later.

Take it as an expensive lesson learned. Go check forums or gw wiki before buying stuff like that. But I feel your pain cuz i've done that before too:P Oh well, just bite the bullet and keep playing.

Try getting 1k Scar armour, I know the chest piece dyed purple+white (on a charcoal skinned Necro) matches well with purple Chaos gloves; perhaps the same is possible with Destroyer gauntlets.

I got destroyer gauntlets on my female ele in 15k geomancer, looks fabulous. You have to look at what you're mixing with what always. These are the only "special" armor piece I will get on any of my chars for that reason. Agree with Witchy as well, hold em in case they fix it, they might never know.

The exact reason why I decided to say "eff it" to these chaos/destroyer gauntlents that cost an arm and a leg. I'll just collect the full armour sets thank you very much. I mean, for the price i'd pay for the Chaos gloves, 75 ectos, 75 * 5 = 350'ish (my math may be off), So, I get like 5 or so 15k sets.
Totally reasonable. And more uses then just 1 pair of gloves. :-P

like you can wear more than one armor set at once >_> you pay a lot for 5 sets and can only wear one at the time, while you pay same for something very cool and wear that cool thing, not to have in mind you have full storage of useless armor pieces >_>

Yeah destroyer gauntlets look pretty bad with a lot of armors. Got destroyer gauntlets on my ele, luckily they look great with 15k flameforged armor from citadel.
