That is really cool looking. Did you draw it yourself?
If it's genuine then I have never ever seen it, or I would of already had it by now.
[edit] If you save the picture posted it's titled "hm_jesus_shield"

Well i think there has to be a good reason/excuse to implement things into the game, and i don't imagine how/why they would implement new weapons without it being part of some cool new update (aka the weapons will come along with something being implemented (aka like a new area? doubt it though its gotta be something big). New weapons= new area/concept or at least something new, seriously doubt weapons will just be implemented along with new bosses for no reason. Thus we gotta wait till they finish the whole package those new weps are coming along with

Well late in the year is kinda after wintersday and before the wintersday of 2008, its not like she said, it'll be implemented RIGHT AFTER wintersday 2007

Yes, but only a retard would assume she meant late in the year, there's such a thing as implication.

Looks too much like a Tall Shield, and not as unique (for something similar) as an Exalted Aegis, for me to be excited about that skin.
But, yeah, some more specific answers on things would be appreciated. I don't care if it's going to take a while, just don't put us on.

That really looks like concept art still, I would also just like mention that not everything in the .DAT file gets implemented at all. It is just where Anet stores the data that may be used in the game. I've seen alot of other concept weapons/armor/shields while snooping around that have never come out. We can still hope though ^_^

If it will take them until late this year to implement them, I don't think there'll be another weapon competition this year.

Thanks, now you made me see that. I'm sure the art will be changed slightly when/if the shield gets introduced.
It's a nice shield design, containing the tradtional fantasy elements everyone loves (and hates, of course), I'm just hoping it won't be too rare and expensive *is poor*.

Yeah, that's been discussed. Quite a lot. Personally I think it's intentional, as the 'gash' otherwise doesn't make any sense.
There's also a goatse reference in there.

that shield looks awsome, but it reall depends on how anet colors it, with that much intricacy poor color design can ruin that beautiful shield

From textures extracted from gw.dat it seems that coloring is kinda messed ... it is not whitewish, but more like gray and black-ish in the bottom.
But that is only texture, who knows, maybe there is second layer...
( but i hope it can be dyed skin pink ... no particular reason for that )
