this is not only not helpful, but just wrong.

if you have a problem with someone, dont call them names, dont argue. ignore them, they obviously play guild wars to make up for the pre-existing social handicaps if they choose to spend their time being mean and rude (if this is really the case).

i dont care how bad someones treating you/me, if ignore isnt enough, and talking to the leader isnt enough, leave, and research guilds before just joining the first one, or best looking cape you see.

if you join a guild just to get talked down to, or like to be an officer so you have the "option" to talk down to others, just quit the game, and join a pony league baseball team... or coach one.

bunch of egomaniacs in this community..

I've had experiences with these types of kids in my GW officer career ...

Asking to be officer ASAP. Refusing to listen to people and telling them to shut-up (not only officers, telling to shut up to ordinary members was kickworthy too.). Trying to conspire with some oldimers against other oldtimers. Begging for items/runs/powerleveling asap they joined guild.

There was always merciless /kick for them in the end of the day.

Seriously, how are you supposed to play together/be comradeish with someone who tells you to shut up? Such person has no place in guild. Regardless of what focus of that guild is.

I guess you have been unlucky... None of our officers kick members unless if a member is getting abusive towards other members they can kick and send a screeny to me....

There are good guilds out there.. and if you find one just settle there and have fun cuz its still a game

Actually it is pretty helpfull, maybe the way i put it was a bit crude .

Look there's no problem to have a quarrel with an officer, but do it in whisp. Otherwise it undermines Authority, and no officer wants to look bad in front of the whole guild

them > you:

In an established Guild, Officers made their position for a Reason. They know the game well, have been playing for sometime, and will play friendly with other guildies. ^^. That's what my definition of a good officer anyways.

Them kicking the op surely has been for a reason.

well, im personaly a guild leader, and never seen anyone having problems with officers... is because i usualy get to know a person who would be officer in front, not just a blind pick or someone who joins says: "can i be officer? i recruit well" - this usualy result in instant kick to twho ask this right away... i think that guild with such officers just sux badly

anyway, dont you think this should belong to guild discussion section?

15 guilds in 6 months and your always inocent that dont sound right one things for sure 2 mins in the door and telling an officer to shut up will get you kicked in most guilds

alot of guilds have a 2week rule to protect their members from idiots and from what i see its working just fine

i mean 15 guilds in 6 months your kidding right

Our guild has 4 people: 3 of which I know well, the fourth is a good friend of a friend. Best guild I've been in yet.

It helps that the average age of our guild is about 25 and there's nothing close to any drama, bitching, moaning, whining, begging or demanding. It's just 4 people who want to enjoy the game, have a chat and mock the retards in Spamadan.

My suggestion would be to create a guild consisting of those who you like and trust so you can get on with the game in peace. After all, if you're only in to PvE, a guild is simply a condensed, glorified friend list.

Hell, 2 weeks? I know of many with a month-long trial period.

I can be an SOB, and I've never been kicked out of a guild. I could see if you were in a guild for a long time, then they broke up or changed, and you were seeking a guild with the same feeling, that it might be tough. 15 guilds over 6 months? That's just a hopper. Do you know how many hoppers a decent size guild gets? Not to mention campers who have been there a month without "logging on". It's like getting in a circle of friends or a social group. You gotta listen and get a feel for how everyone interacts, then start socializing in a friendly matter. After you are friends, you can tell someone to shut up, even, and unless they're a total choad, they'll let you know if you cross a line instead of just kicking you. Though I can understand how many who play the game lack these basic social skills. Maybe go to a club IRL?

Oh, and Coloneh? Psychology 101. Most humans don't respond well to criticism, even when you are right(warrior tanking DOES suck a$$). Especially when their officer e-peen is threatened(e-peen passed spell check!). Take them for a few matches in AB...heheh...or GvG or HA. Show the young Jedi the Master's skills. People who see the proof tend to see things better.

As an officer of a pretty large guild, some people are just impossible to please. Some people extensively challenge the rules, even though they are created by the Guild Leader and not you and give you crap for doing your job as an officer - enforcing them. If an officer or Guild leader tells you to do something, oblige them. Otherwise find another guild or get kicked. I might not necessarily agree with something the Guild Leader does, but I better damn well follow their rules or I should expect a kick or demotion.

Or it could be it is HE who is the one with the problem. Just coming to an open forum to whine about his issues and then telling us he told an OFFICER to SHUT UP. My spidey senses tells me he told the Officer to STFU and then was dumped. Too many QQers lately with mental problems methinks. What does he think a forum is going to do for him? lol I could care less if he can't find a guild he can stick with and futhermore if I ever heard one of my members tell one of my officers to "shut up" I'd kick him also. There is a reason some members are officers and other members should learn to "respect" those positions. If they have no respect for them then they shouldn't join a guild.

I've pretty much only been in guilds primarily made with the same group of friends, adding more each time.. so nope.

Dude

I think you should create your own guild, design your own cape and invite into your guild those people that you know you will get along with.

Hope that helps...
