Ironically, running a non-retribution smite (which I have for ages, I prefer Balthazars Spirit) seems more attractive now.

Apology accepted You Can't See Me. Well I've been messing around with builds, as I say it's only myself and a hero smiter that do CoF, so there's no one there to heal. My bf came up with the idea of using Well of The Profane, but by the time I've casted it, Tahl's already dead. Also Signet of Devotion takes too long to recharge, and by then she's dead. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?

Works just fine with a human smiter. Just drop 2 points out of prot and put it in divine with divine favor rune and run sig of devotion. The heal is plenty for a human, though a smiter might take a little more damage (due to having to run 2 big runes without being able to just change the headpiece or the ability to swap armor after you've casted the enchants to ones without -75 life).

The damage is honestly pretty inconsequential even when attacking multiple groups. The reversal of damage tends to activate on retribution over holy wrath. Plus if you use LOD when you run like I do (sacrificing life attunement), wanding the banshee or using LoD takes the damage away from the smiter and onto the 600 which helps too.

It's entirely contrary to the two-man team, but....Two of my guildies run a typical 600-smiter team, and let me and my ranger tag along to share in the fun and the loot. I just pack a pair of heals in case our 600 ditzes out or over-aggroes, and try to keep myself out of harm's way. Shouldn't be a problem for me to be a little more active.

I just finished running CoF on my 600 Rit / Smiter, and I tell you that this nerf isn't really all that bad for me. Odgen's health never really went down that much at all; he was always at least 3/4 of his health and he has no healing. I guess it must be my particular rit build, but I really saw no difference at all. Not enough to give Ogden a healing spell (I would rather him bring Rebirth )

My build:
16 Restoration, 12 Protection
[skill]Vengeful was Khanhei[/skill][skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Spirit Bond[/skill][skill]Light of Deldrimor[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill][skill]Life Attunement[/skill][skill]Vital Blessing[/skill]
Ogden's build:
16 Divine Favor, 12 Smiting
[skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Spell Breaker[/skill][skill]Blood Ritual[/skill][skill]Retribution[/skill][skill]Holy Wrath[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill] (He also has 20% enchanting mod for SB)

I don't remember playing in pvp other than fort aspenwood or RA within the last couple of months, what are you even referring to? I can't remember the last time I said I was leet at pvp, especially referring to RA or FAW neither of which actually require much skill. Try to leave the flame baiting for something else or at least keep it on topic. *shrug* Had nothing to do with being leet I was sharing my tactics.

Also, you don't spam 123? I always thought it was smart to put your 3 most used skills as 1 2 3 because it's by wasd, do you use 678?

I wouldn't call it a nerf as so much as a clean up. They are several people that run CoF that shouldn't be running, you know the type, rude, pass up chest, die numerous times and still demand full pay. I actually heard a story where the runner died over five times and still wanted full pay. Try to remember the people you are running are the customers, they are always right.

Then the smiters are the worse, not 16/16, don't have B.I.P. or any kind of energy giver, dont have Light of Deldrimor (spelling).

The nerf doesn't hurt running that much for me because I have the hero run a heal signet and players understand what is going on and one or two will bring mending, it is enough to keep the hero alive.

My biggest problem is that I farm with two computers and now I have to worry about the smite computer dying too. Going to be fun.
