but wow after reading alot of the responses it makes me feel a bit weak. I mean Im a senior in Highschool and I graduate in May, I allready dont have a job so like im not getting any money (looking for one now tho)
Now if I DID have a job, hell no. I wouldnt call out of a job for gw.. I agree with what Snow Bunny said:

mono does indeed suck to have, i spent an entire summer asleep 75% of the days because of having mono, was totaly drained and always tired.
as for skipping work.. or school.. i have to play guildwars, its sad of me to have done that and its caused other problems for me.. i highly sugjust not ever skipping school or work for a game.

Can't say I ever called in sick to play GW. I did miss out on a good number of dates/parties/games/concerts even intimate moments with my SO to play GW. It has to be a special occasion though, not just some random GW playing. A guild run in a place we havent been to in a while, or the release of a new campaign are the usual reasons. Doesn't happen frequently, but it does happen. Just like every thing; you got to learn to set your priorities straight.

I can't recall ever calling in sick just to play the game, however I wish I could sacrifice the time to do so!

I've called in sick because I didn't want to work/was actually sick/was injured and ended up playing GW, or because I stayed up too late the night before (possibly playing GW, not always), but never called in specifically to play GW.
Money > GW
College, was another matter. I was going to skip those days anyway.

I've called in just because I didn't really feel like going to work and ended up playing GW because there's nothing but crap on TV during the day...

I haven't called in sick to play, although I do play a bit when I'm sick, between naps that is.
One thing I have done is taken a half day annual leave during the end beta party, right before the launch of GW, just because I heard the March beta end party was so good. Didn't regret it too - it's the only time we've ever had wurms spawn all over the outposts, giant presents popping open with garden gnomes that go "Ni" - hilarious stuff Funny how after the launch of GW, we've never had anything much that quite matched up to those parties.

I don't think I've ever called in to work to play Guild Wars. I have skipped school, and played Guild Wars but it wasn't the reason I skipped.
I did call off work to read the 6th Harry Potter book though.

Meh making money is more important then me playing guild wars for a few extra hours. Plus I plan on going to collage next year so I really wouldn't want to get into the habit of calling in sick since collage costs a lot, and I would be pissed if I failed a collage class and lost all that money I spent to get into it.
