He's pretty much agreeing with a guy who says that PvEers are stupid and useless, while he's a PvEer himself. He's agreeing that he's stupid and useless. You see the problem?

They deserve it, they're the ones who cry and get the game balance all screwed up. If not for PvP Mesmers and Paragons wouldn't get hit with the nerf stick that often.

My dislike for PvPers is perfectly rational. 80% of the PvPers that I have met have turned out to be rude, immature, and boastful. Why is it irrational that I don't like them? For the other amount of PvPers I haven't met?

Well I guess that the 99% of PvEers i have met are un open to change and never try anything new (tank and spank SF or Ursan) so I guess i should dislike all of them.

Yeah, but how do the actions of a bunch of people you never meet affect you in any way?

I'm mostly a PVE player myself and I have to say if 80% of the PVP players you've met are like that, either you've been hanging out in RA (which is not real PVP and a cesspool) or your bias is showing through and you're antagonizing them in some way. Sorry, but with your hostility being so evident, I think it's the latter.
Yes, there are plenty of rude, immature, egocentric PVP players, but there are just as many in PVE. Some people on either side are acting pretty damn ridiculous with this PVP vs PVE feud.

Anyone who goes looking for trouble is an idiot in most cases.
I don't actively go looking for rude PvPers. They just seem to appear - whether in Deep or DoA pugs, FoW... 75% of the time I'll get this wolf spamming noob who has no connect of "aggro management" and spits out hate and swearwords faster than a machine gun spits out bullets.

In many case's, it does not the majority of a group to make every one look bad.
Pugs for example, are probably a minority of group going in an out every were.
Guilds is were all the nice people are, and they would tend to stick with each other ( I know I stick to my own guild or H&H for almost everything)
So they are less "nice" people to meet.
If your not the smartest, be the loudest, and I think that in this case, The "PvP Elitist" and the "PvE scrubs" are the loudest.
By no mean does that mean that they are the majority of people in GW

I don't understand. You bump into these rude people in PVE but somehow they are all PVP players? And if you were going to somehow attribute their bad behaviour due to their love of PVP, wouldnt you say the same thing about PVE? Afterall, these people you're running into ARE in PVE areas....

They're usually those naked dancing people saying "STRIPPING FOR CASH" or spam their rank emote who hang about in town all day. They don't actually PvE.
By the way, I found an excellent example of a 12-year old PvP elitist. Note his horrible grammar.

And I bet they're in Pre-Searing Ascalon or Shing Jea Monastery (though most of the SJM people actually do a lot of PvE and come to SJM to hang out). Using freshly rolled characters.

Nope, seen some in less-known outposts like Beacon's Perch, Quarrel Falls... this was like 14 months ago though. Haven't seen them (or even went to those outposts) lately. And they were usually level 20.

And wouldnt their behaviour be because of their age and lack of maturity rather than because they play PVP?
It just seems you're irrationally biased against PVP players, which I can sort of understand if enough 12 year olds scream "u sux, go back to PVE" enough times. But my point that I've been trying to get across this whole time was that you're turning into as much as a PVE "elitist' as the PVP 'elitists' that you hate so much.

Maybe. I don't know. Neither do I care to know. He seems to be fresh off Runescape, and those are usually the kids I try to avoid. But from his actions, he's probably one of those wolf spamming jackasses.
Since when did I say anything like "PvEers are better than all you PvPers" ? All I said was that PvE people tend to be less rude and uptight than PvPers. I never knew making an observation based on your experiences was considered elitism.

Really? I didn't either. So if I go to RA and see a w\mo with mending, and I know that this player will be crap and would have bad skills. What are the chances that I would be call a PvP elitist? I would say HIGH.
But my observation and experience with w\mo's, who have mending are most likely crap players in general and also do have bad skills. So, I guess it goes well with your theory.

I wouldn't jump to a conclusion based on what I see. I know mending is horrible on anything except for farming/55'ing, but there's many different possibilities as why he's running mending on a warrior. Maybe it's for kicks, maybe he's bad at warrior... since I don't know him well, and probably never will, I'll just let it slide.

He told me to try and PuG DoA without having Ursan on my bar. Getting a DoA PuG on a monk, where I would be expected to have a healing build, was not out of the question.

He didn't, but that's ok.
Taurucis, I meant that PvE'ers are equally elitist, they just have to manifest it in different ways because your 'elite' pve'er is in no way shape or form as knowledageble/good at the game as an elite PvPer.
It's simple fact.

Yeah, but at least PvE teams don't shut out new players. If you're 8/8 with Ursan on your bar, then you can just join. And at best, you can just do what the majority of your team does, listen to what the leader says, and you'll squeak by.
With PvP, you're stuck in an endless loop. You need to win to get fame. You need fame to get a good team. You need a good team to win. And around you go again.
