Yeah, didn't understand it also after proofreading^^.
But the Possibilities of Firearms is High, even after 10 years I could predict there would be already.
Adding 250 years can even turn the chances of such alot higher!

Well if you look at it that way. If you have a knife in hand you are playing an FP and when you switch to a gun it becomes an FPS becose the "S" stands for shooter....or maybe you are throwing your knives so this means you are playing an FPT!!
Just to say that the point here was not to debate the viability of guns in guild wars which in turn i think only refers to personnal preference. To my opinion i think guns are out.
But never the op mentionned guns...he said firearms and i already got them. I can recall back in the days when honing my ele skills, i set my arms on fire alot trying to get that perfect fireball (damn that was easy...got it fire arms)
Anyway for me guild wars is gunless (is that a word...if not...i own the patent!!). Star wars Galaxy needs guns and laser ones for that matter.
Different lore.....different weapons
Now come buy my weapon mods online in kamadan. I got free laser sights for everyone who buys 2 or more bows and i'll fit a grenade launcher on every staff bought at regular price You'll also get free restraining bolts for you droid minipet

We already have guns and howitzers, we don't need any more. The only confusing part is that "guns" are currently called wands and staves and the howitzer is called a "siege devourer".
GW firearms (wands, staves) shoot magical balls of energy (with an infinite ammo supply), which beats the hell out of an eight shot clip.

GW is GW, GE is GE and Oblivion is Oblivion and they don't mix (copyright and such) and there is 1000+ old threads about firearms in GW (try search) and they where all nuked. (refreshing too see that the Mod's havent't nuked this one yet)

They didn't even have cannons in GW.
They did have big bolt throwers though. Maybe we can have crossbows?
Probably unlikely considering how the Dwarves end up though.

I know something called a bullet to the face. People running around with a melee weapon are going to get shot at range. The exception is of course Halo and other games involving power armour that lets you get up close without being shot.
(I realize CoD4 etc let you draw your knife and slash instantly. I have mine bound to Mouse 4, so I can twitch my thumb and use it. A melee attack with a knife or punch for close quarters emergencies is not the same as running around with a ridiculous FF sword and no gun at all.)

Guns really just dont fit real well in the current story lines, if they did another chapter where the setting was something wild westish or something I guess somehow you could work it in, but really I dont see guns as a viable weapon in the current gw era

Guild Wars 3: Wild West... do not want... I like it because it doesn't involve guns and firearms, that is what FPS's are for, not MMORPGs.

Anyways, i think guns wouldnt fit in guild wars. I doubt they could be balenced properly and dont fit the setting of guild wars.
