I think it's about time we get some input about GW2. It's been a year now since the initial announcement of GW2 being in developement, since then I have seen little or no news on GW2. Looks like the gamers putting their many hours in this game are left in the dark. One year is a long time to hear nothing on the sequal to the game that just sold 5 million copies.

give em time, promotional stuff just doesn't pop up
they wanna make sure it looks good and convincing to players so they can say: "i can't wait to get my hands on the beta!"

There are rumors in the community that some further info on GW2 (including the exact release date) is about to be given in the PC gamer April edition. Until these rumors are confirmed by either Anet or PC gamer, we shall remain "in the dark".

It's not that unusual to have little information on game that's still a year away from release, this is particularly true with MMO's and especially when the original game is still going. If they make GW2 sound too great too soon, then it could discourage people from buying the first one. I expect we'll start to hear more soon though..

But look at Bioware's Dragon Age, that was announced back in 2006 and since then we've had NO information on it, besides the fact that it is 100% definitely coming out in 2008.

I have the April edition of PC Gamer in my hands right now. While the sneak peak into Red Alert 3 looks like RA3 will be an excellent game, and the review of Sins of a Solar Empire makes me want to blow some cash, there is no mention of Guild Wars in the entire issue.

But yeah I wouldn't mind seeing some news in April edition if the rumor holds true. Would be a pretty nice B-Day present. Seems that Beta is still scheduled for 2008 unless Anet says otherwise. And no I'm not flaming, just interested in my fav MMO.

As stated until anet decides to release any further info every thing else remains unsubstantiated rumors.

you gw2 guys need to take a chill pill...

the info we have is that some kind of testing will probably happen in the later part of this year------and since its only March, that is still a while... so sit on your hands or whatever. But I highly doubt they will put out any new information for quite some time!!!
As their date gets closer (say August/September) I would expect a crumb of info from them----not before.

i'd prefer them working on the game than telling us what they will be working on.

if you can't be patient and wait till they are ready to give us info, instead of complaining about the lack of info, then oh well.

people on GWGuru are getting sick of the "GW2" threads. can't see why people haven't gotten the message yet.

They need to release info, how else will they get input from the masses? If they're doing something that I most likely won't like, I want to tell them now so they can change it. I'm sure many people are on me with this, Anet listens to the community, and we need to be heard.
