Well, WY got owned, which makes me sad. But lightning orb? Sexy. Though I don't know why it needed to be buffed that much. Not like it was that bad before.

Im not basing my judgement on how difficult GW is on the price of ectos, im stating that 'elite' pvpers go on about how easy pve is. If it was as easy as they say, it is then everywhere would be just like the UW was when w/rt became popular.
If you want me to go back and change my post saying how the w/rt made things really easy and delete all mention of ectos prices, then i will.

Adapt people.

No, I don't submit to that notion. It is more than possible for a person to play a reasonably powered or even underpowered build, enjoy it, and suffer from this nerf. How overpowered is a self targeting healing breeze? A single speed boost/damage spell in an elemental line that supports movement damage and movement over armor (or healing)? Sometimes a skill can just be good. My ritualist used ancestor's rage. My dervish and my elementalist used mystic regen (no, he was not an earth tanker). My elementalist also used flame djinn's haste and Rodgort's invocation. These skills were not overpowered. They were just good. More importantly, they were fun. Sometimes people forget this is a game where having fun is the only real measure of success. This update killed my fun. Will I find skills that can replace the effectiveness of these skills? Probably. But after three years of playing, I can guarantee, I won't find any skills that will be as fun. That is why this update fails.

How crippling is having 1 skill deal 5-10 less damage? Those skills can still be run exactly the same. It would be just as fun, just not as effective. Your complaining about damage, not "fun."

I think you should cut down on the drama. A speed boost got six seconds shorter duration, and a spell got recharge increased to 8 seconds. And that killed all your enjoyment of GW and you'll never, ever, be able to find skills as fun and wonderful as those were, ever again?

Rodgort's and flame djinn's weren't that overpowered, I agree. Meh-bad part of the balance. The mystic nerf is small, no big deal.

To play the game well, you use what is most effective. When what is most effective is also fun, you can play the game well and have fun. Which is what I prefer to do.

If I were in it for the drama I would be ragequitting and calling for a boycott of A-net products. I'm not, so keep your snide remarks to yourself, thanks. Seeing as how they're not making any new skills, barring some more complete functionality changes, I think I know what I like well enough to know that I won't find other skills presently available to be as fun as those pre-nerf.

Ugh... [skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill] took a hit. I guess it was asking for it though. I don't really get why [skill]Flame Djinn's Haste[/skill] was nerfed though. It already got hit by the nerfstick and I don't think it really needed another.
