People don't understand that Anet doesn't need a physical update to turn items on/off. Just because it was added to the .dat on 12/6/07 doesn't mean its been able to drop that long.

But the Everlasting Bettle Tonic HAS been able to drop for several months. And so far only 1 has been confirmed to drop from there.
It seems VERY likely that this item is going to be worth millions.

To those who think "this item isn't worth this much because vanity items are stupid" welcome to GW. Its rare, so it will be expensive. No item has any praticality in this game. If you are a super rich player with money to burn, there is nothing else to waste your cash on.

My law of Guild Wars pricing indicates:

As ugliness and/or uselessness of item increases, the price also increases exponentially.

yeah agreed on that, i play quite a bit and have had a lot of ectos but never that many.

also what would you do with all that wealth?
everything in game is easily obtainable with just a little bit of effort, especially this late in games life.

i believe GW money will not carry over to GW2. so virtual millionaire means zilch to most. IMHO

So like a few players are gonna start the game full of money and shit, and others will be broken...
It's not gonna happen imo (cash transfer from gw1 to gw2), it would seriously imbalance the whole game (just imagine what was more difficult/fun, starting GW for the first time or with full storage of items/cash), so... not gonna happen :P

It happened several months back, when it was discovered that the auto-reconnect feature could be exploited to create copies of items. It's estimated that thousands of armbraces were copied, and many people were banned for it.

Those that weren't banned (or were smart enough to not conduct the duping yet get their hands on the copied goods) are some of the richest in GW today.

As for the question above about the money, as I am not a merch type I dedicated the beetle I got (making the remaining indedicated one more valuable), and I will now fill my halls up and proabbaly get some more high ends pets to dedicate and resell with the rest.
