man wtf?
why would ppl make bots in RA?
I have always thought that it's been far easier to get balthazar faction from the zaishen elite.
If they want to get faction fast, the better option would be to get a whole bunch of accounts and run the bots to get 6k faction per account per day, at a rate that i would think is much faster, and less annoying/report prone, than having an RA bot.
I get 6k faction from ZE in under 30 mins
I only get 6k at the same rate if i get consecs in RA,
otherwise, faction comes very slowly...

that is 6k faction per DAY. I think that RA-ing for 24 hours definitely nets much more and thus is much much faster.
Besides, 6k faction transaltes to 3k gold ... they muight as well just farm pve.

It costs ANET more to ban the amount that they ban then they get in new accounts. Besides, most botters have stolen guild wars accounts from their keyloggers. So, no, that is plain wrong.

It has been stated MANY times before that to ensure the legitamacy of a perma ban, anet devs actually go through the account's history and actions before banning it. Going through all of that data is what makes banning an account cost more than the revenue they get in new accounts

i dont report cause from what i hear its too much work and hardly anything happens. i did not buy gw to police the game nor do i get anything for reporting so i dont. whether i report or not makes no difference at all. gw needs to remove trial accounts. that would solve alot of the issues.
If i see a bot i ignore it. bots will always be in the game and you could spend all your time reporting them. i'd rather play.

Well, you shouldn't listen to what you hear ... except what I'm going to tell you: you only need to type "/report NAME_TO_REPORT" and that's it.
Difficult?

it is when i see hundreds of violations a day and anet seems to do nothing at all. although i may try to help the community by reporting violators. dont count on it, but thanks for the info anyways.

If hundreds of people who think like you would change their mind, the problem would have been eradicated a long time ago. But well, some people don't want to listen, they only want to play. I don't blame you for that, I only blame the community, i.e., all of us collectively.

I agree with Fril Estelin.
I am R12 Luxon [I never leeched ONE time, never] & I never miss the opportunity to report a leecher in AB when I encounter one
Greediness leads to evil attitudes...."...I only blame the community, i.e., all of us collectively..."
If you consider yourself a true player (someone who complies with FAIRPLAY) you have to report the evil players/bots, even if ANET does not react.
Have fun folks

so what's the difference? bots have rapid reflexes

Don't listen to the tattle tails they just want YOU to go down with them when those botters find out who told on them and THEY WILL, you better believe they will because they know things you don't even know and they will find you and they will get your account and they will take everything you have and then they will delete every character you ever made and played. So, it's best as it is in the real world to "mind your own business" and let Anet take care of their own. <grin>

i would be alot more proactive in the community if the community was worth it. as it is now i think player deserve all the crappy nerfs we have. serves them right for their elitist additudes and greedy behavior.
in other words if people were not so rude, and so willing to go out of their way to ruin the experience for others then more of us would be willing to stop what we are doing to try to improove the funfactor for Everyone.
and hundreds if not thousands of people report abuse daily and i still see people abusing others regularly. anet hasnt done anything. cant even ask someone anything anymore because its always "look on wiki".
the community is not helpful, so i see no reason why i should be. I used to be helpful but this same community showed me the error of my ways.
Help= fail. meantion a problem = QQ. selfish + rude = FTW! which is very sad. one reason i do not play much anymore.

i agree with this to some point although i am not too worried about my account being hacked. first they have to learn my email, then my password. not easy considering my gamer mail is unique. and my password is... difficult. ( and difficult is not my pw. lol)

You're a needy little bugger if you think "look it up on GWW and GuildWiki" isn't a useful---possibly the most useful---answer and would rather have other players waste their time explaining well known things to you than do your own homework.

I disagree with what the quoted guy said, but I have to say that you're making a monumental confusion here: GW is a GAME, made for fun, not for "work". Competition should me friendly, not like for getting a grant or winning a trophy. (if people were to see that clearly and without a doubt, RMT and bots wouldn't exist because there wouldn't be enough greed to sustain it)
And no, the community is not as bad as it seems. Do not throw the baby out with the bath water!
