I'm starting to get sick of seeing the sea and hearing the music for the new interface. I wish Anet would bring back the old one or let us switch to it.

Loved the old music and the fact that you automatically got to see all of your characters upon login (versus one by one now).
I always thought that the login screen was from the Fort Ranik mission, where you fight Charr in a ravine (with Charr archers on either side). I could've sworn there is a whole campsite there that looks just like the tents/banners in the login screen.

New Screen :)
I guess I like the new screen better.
I like the layout of the new screen and the info about the char that you get, lvl where you are etc...

I would love a new one! Each login screen brings a totally different mood; the first one reminds me of when I first started and had to trek from Ascalon into the snowy reaches of Yak's Bend and the Shiverpeaks.

I'll have to check later, but it seems like it was in Riverside. Enter the mission, and then immediately turn around. Most people miss that are right behind them. There is a campfire there, not sure about everything else in its entirety.

The thing I miss about the old login screen was that you saw all your chars at the same time....
I realise that as slots grow that won't work but it was nice seeing everyone in full armor and the toon selected up front.
Other than that I don't miss it....

I'm indifferent. Either one suited the purpose of allowing me to select which character I want to play, so I don't really care.

I like the new one better I guess...it always seemed a little weird to me that banners were blowing in the wind but the smoke went straight up...(I think that is how it was).
I do like the layout of the new one, but the setting of the old looked cool...

I do miss the beta events when you choose a existing character you zoomed to he ledge in the upper right hand corner in the "camp" one that was replaced. It was removed when the game went live.
But I love the new one better.

Sure, the old one was clunky, but it was also really cool in some ways.
You could press left and right repeatedly, and they would like do a nice little dance, if you have multiple characters. =D
Also, the old login screen represents the old Guild Wars: the game I originally bought and fell in love with. Since then, I think I've lost a lot of my wonder and excitement for the game.

If I recall correctly, the campfire was the place where you started on the E3 Alpha Preview Event (or something like that, 2004).
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the place was called... Kyhlo.
