That goes for me as well. Best MMO (community wise) I've ever played was EVE. The steep learning curve repels idiots.

EVE has an awesome community. People from LOTR:O were pretty nice, too. But I'm not just talking about the GW community compared to other MMOs, I'm talking about people in GW compared to people in any game, period.
Strange, ain't it? I have no clue why GW attracts the attention of so many assbags.

I just started playing that game a month ago and I am inclined to agree with you a bit on that point. The game is not very casual friendly and that does seem to get rid of a lot of people in the early stages.
On a happy note: 3 more days until Mining Barge 3!
As far as the people playing Guild Wars is concerned, I made most of my in-game friends when the game was still new and maybe only 1 or 2 since then. There does seem to be a lot of "bad apples", as it were.

I love EVE because of the elitism and drama. Seriously, the game would be a borefest without it.

Well I think we should be able to take 7 heros to the underworld if you wanted. But no one cares.

I'd love to see henchies in FoW/UW (ideally with GW:EN skillbars). I've had GW since launch and I've barely bothered with those areas. Lack of henchies just means I don't play them, it has never forced me to pug (and never will).

1. Because it's Free to play.
2. Because you don't need to be a part of a community to get anything done(in PvE) - so nobody cares about his reputation or lack of it.

quite honestly why you would want henchmen is beyond me.
At least pugs have a chance(however small) of being good.

So, they never called you noob when you pick out their faults, fight over where/how to do something or draw horribly crooked penises on the mini map.

MTG I can't comment on. But I can for CS and other Source games, and they're much much better than people make them out to be. Experiences vary, of course.
Interesting that Sparks keeps bumping these kinds of threads...

It is time for UW and FOW to be opened up to Henchmen. Sorry ANET but with the inclusion of other ELITE area's in the game. UW and FOW are no longer considered ELITE.
BUT they the area's are very cool.

Cleared whole of FOW once with 6 hero's.
So dont really see a reson why anyone even would want to take hench, just ask a friend to dump you there with his hero's

Not. It's an elite area. Only heroes should be allowed in elite areas.
Instead of that, they should remove henchmen from:
- Sorrow's Furnace (and add a final end-boss chest)
- Tombs of the Primeval Kings. (and add a final end-boss chest)
- Slaver's Exile (and turn the first level into an outpost)

So, every time someone has to go because their house is on fire, they have a power spike, or just a shitty connection their party members should get shafted? Sorry, but that's just stupid.

Difficulty needs to be increased so it takes a full group to play in these areas.

People who don't like Ursan...?
Or professions which are not liked in PvE? *cough* mesmer *cough*
If they are so high end, hench shouldn't be able to do it anyway - but hey, someone *apparently* h/h'd Duncan, and Mallyx got heroway'd...
Why not?
I like this idea!

Oh, and don't underestimate henches. I've used them long before heroes were ever in the game and they've succeeded where most pugs fall.

QFT well said sir.
Heros and Henchmen are better then the average GW player, i kno this from experience -_-
