1. I do not use the in-game store. The way it locks one's account login is an absolutely unacceptable security risk. I won't touch it until that is resolved.

2. I have a credit card. I've used paypal in the past. I have very little preference between them.

paypal are fine until things go wrong and then customer service is non existent. They will do whatever they want with your money and you have very little protection without resorting to court action.

I would rather mail cash in an envelope marked 'steal me' than use Paypal.

i don't really understand the point of this, you have a credit card, which you need for GW store, yet you want paypal? which you still need a credit card for, i really don't understand how this is supposed to make sense..

i have used the guilwars store for a char slots and the bonus weps pack, and its fine as it is

i use paypal for ebay as its quick and convenient and safe, but for GW?, why is it needed? if it will raise prices of the items in the store for a saved, what, 2 minutes?, i say god no

you do not need a credit card to open and use paypal first of all.
secondly people who do not have credit cards or have cards that simply dont qualify to anets billing system would have a new option for purchasing online.

I use CC. Paypal would make things harder to me. If they want to add a paypal option for ppl who doesnt have a CC its fine, but leave the CC option.

I have a paypal account and a credit card. I honestly just don't like paypal. Adding as another option would not be a bad idea, but making it the only way would be rather disappointing.

I have a very poor opinion of Paypal and their policies, and so I try to avoid them as much as possible. I only use them when no other option is provided to me (including the option of using a different vendor).

Im from the german Elite-Fansite Guild-Wars.Info.

I dont use Pay Pal.
Why? Because i nee a Credit Card at the most of the online Stores to buy something. If i need a CC for Pay Pal, i could use the CC without Pay Pal, to buy something. It would be the same than now. I cant get a CC, so i cant buy anything without a CC outside of Germany. ^^

I prefer the Pay Safe Card System. Its really easy and u can get the Cards everywhere.

No, i dont like Pay Pal. ^^

I have to agree, i have wanted to buy from the online store, but after 1/2 way through the registration, i quit. It really seems like they want way to much info about me. Plus, i never buy software online, im the kinda guy that wants back-up disks in my hand so i dont have to download the entire game if i need to reinstall on another rig.

As with paypal, you dont need a CC to get a paypal account. Alot of people feel safer buying online without your CC number. You can open a paypal account with a blank check or even just your checking account or savings account info.

Yes. I do have a CC but i would prefer to use Paypal.

Quite a few people here don't seem to realize a few things, so I will (in probably a futile effort) try to explain this.

First, this poll is designed to determine if adding, NOT replace with, PayPal as a payment option for the store would be worthwhile.

Second, PayPal does NOT require a credit card. The only requirement for PayPal is internet access, and a bank account (or other source of funds).

It would be nice if one of the mods could edit this, or something similar, into Gaile's OP, so a few people would stop making retarded and uneducated posts...

I don't have a credit card. I don't quite like the idea of PayPal, but since I don't have any other way to pay in the GW online store I would definitely use PayPal for purchases there if the option for it was available.

i voted no, i use a credit card for online purchases and creating a paypal account would slow my purshases down. I prefer using credit in the online-store.

I wouldn't use paypal, for pretty much all the same reasons that have been brought up. To use paypal, you already need to have a credit card. Using paypal on the NC Store just seems pointless to me.

Just a few hours ago I purchased the Game of the Year Edition weapons upgrade for my account. I use PayPal for eBay, bit I can't even begin to understand why some people would want to use it for this.
