All my characters are females, simply because I can't roleplay a male =p

I have 10 characters...and not a one of them looks a thing like me. Until I see a character with freckles across their noses and cheeks, I'm out of luck. All of my characters are female though, so at least that is accurate.

I make my characters have one of my traits, usually (but not always). Necros and rits get tattooed up; my necro has purple hair (I had blue hair once...).
I play a mix of male and female characters, although I'm a man. My 6-year old daughter really enjoys creating characters for me to play.

My warrior looks most like me, the rest is choosen by what I liked best at the time. I play male and female characters just for variation. I tried to make my dervish look like Jayne Cobb from the Firefly series though, as a tribute to both Jayne and the Firefly series.

Most of my GW characters are attractive females, with a couple evil or scary looking males thrown in the mix.
My avatar is a pic of a bunny with a pancake on his head, if you don't know why I'm not going to explain.

I have 4 long standing chars and the rest I fool around with on and off. The 4 I don't mess with is purely because of their age. I'm kind of attached to them. 3 are coming up to their 3rd birthday including my old Ranger main and my current Assassin main is coming up to her 2nd birthday.
All my chars bar 1 (created by my brother) are female because I think they look better than the male chars and, like someone said earlier, I like the idea of a slight, demure lady ruining the big warriors day. In real life I'm a guy. Controversial maybe?
Specifically, I try to make them as pretty as possible. I'm a sucker for the faces that have pale, piercing eyes. I generally create white avatars, probably because I am.
This topic would make for a great psychology case study

All the females are made after models---I am no model (I broke my nose as a kid and have some nice scars on my face as well)---so its not an exaggeration on my part).....realists ftw.

I have quite a few characters and all are female. I like playing as what I am. lol. I don't really think any of them look quite like me, but I try giving them same hair color and such. So yeah. :P

There's nothing wrong with that, these are drawn very realistically and there are some hot looking characters out there. What would be weird was if he wanted to marry his character.

My monk sort of looks like me - pale, brown hair, greenish eyes, as tall as a monk can get. However, I have hair on both sides of my head. I like all my characters to look different, so none of the others look anything like me.
All my characters are female, for three reasons. First, I've had male chars and always felt kind of wierd playing them. Second, female characters are generally prettier; it seems to me that the GW designers put a lot more loving attention into the female character models than the male ones (big surprise). Third, female characters have a shorter minimum height - I'm not sure if I buy into the idea that small avatars are measurably harder to target, but it can't hurt, so I make my PvP characters itty-bitty.
Oh, and I did have a whole slew of PvE characters, but I found trying to play and equip all of them exhausting, so now I'm down to 3: my monk who's done everything I care to do, my SY paragon I'm rushing through the game so she'll be available to help guildies with Hard Mode, and my warrior who I only play with my husband. All the rest get repeatedly reborn as PvP characters.

I made myself look like my main PvE toon.
Or...
I made made my characters by finding a combination of hair, skin, face, color that was appeasing to me and maybe a little unique (e.g. Rangers that look like Gaile Gray's Ranger).
I wouldn't be able to play a character for nearly three years if I just randomized everything.

My characters do not look like me, because A) then they'd all look similar and B) GW does not have a robust enough character creation system.

My avatar (the char on the right) is a self-portrait. This is what happens when there isn't enough coffee in me.

I actually kind of wish I could change my Ritualist's gender, since too much time and effort has been spent on him to just reroll. Ah well, he's pretty hot already

I tried to get my first character to look like me (a Prophecies ele). It didn't work too well considering the fact that I was Asian. I gave up after that and just made whatever looked the best. I have three female characters, but they tend to get less attention than the males, maybe because of their professions (one warrior that is now a mule, one sin, and one necro that is trying to level in Gunnar's Hold). I used to play my female characters occassionally, but it felt sort of weird interacting with everyone else. I got very bored of the sin and warrior and I haven't taken the time to level my necro.
