something like

Person A: WTB XXXX 50k need it fast PM

XXXX is example of item that worth around 5k and this guy WTB at 50k sound like very nice deal and 10 secs later...

Person B: WTS XXXX 25k open trade at storage

The other guy try to sell the exactly same item but for some reasons he never see what Person A is spaming :P

I always see this kind of scam in Kamadan :P

this happened last week when i was farming some charr in pre :P

he was my gate opener :P
he totally followed me to the gate first and wanted a payment without opening the gate lol

when i said cute, he was by the lever opening and closing the gates before i could go in for about a minute

i actually did get him killed on the second charr group :P

I think you might have ran into my little brother; that sounds EERILY exactly what he does...

I believe I remember seeing some r6+ group or something, but the guy was also advertising "anyone below r6 can pay 5k to join"... =_=

Oh god do I hate those people. You pay them 50g to open the gate and they insist that they'll stay.

"I need the XP"
"I stay"
"Can i come wit u??!"

I also lure a load of Charr to them to get them killed and they stay and spam abuse at me for it. Then I get some good loot and they beg for it. I'm so glad I'm on to death levelling because I only need to endure one gate opener a day.

To be fair, some of them are quite nice and insist that you don't pay them. I'm always grateful for the nice gesture.

Was getting ran to the Crystal Desert missions and the runner disconnected, so another person ran to the next town's portal and demanded the cash since they "ran" there...But I wasn't going to pay for that. lol The runner got us to the portal, then d/c'd and died so that person just ran in.

Someone spamming they'd "help" people with the Augury Rock mission for the first time for 1k...

Nothing extreme or out of the ordinary, but I was selling my Amethyst Aegis for 100k, and some guy opened trade, not responding to anything.
He put in 100 gold, then spammed PRESS ACCEPT PRESS ACCEPT!!! HURRY.
i just loled and told him he was a failsauce scammer.

Another one was some guy trying to sell his guild, supposedly full w/ all NPCS, and a decent name i don't remember. Then, some other guy started spamming the same thing, cept he wasnt in the same guild, his tag was completely different. He was trying to sell it for 6k =.= and when i inquired to why he was in a differnt guild, his reply was in all caps: "HE"S MY BRO" I asked a few questions backand forth between the two guys, and could easily tell how pathetic the scammer was, trying to pose as a brother of this guild seller for a measly 6k. So i simply asked this genius of a person for a guest invite, so i could prove to myself that it was indeed filled with all NPCS.He then said i was a scammer, and then ignored me -.-

People are quite pathetic...and for 6k. lol

So having 500 or so of the useless things im obviously intrigued, unfortunately i underestimated the chat spam in LA and missed half the chat of the log but got some of it.

But it seems "apparently" a recent update allowed us to trade tournie tokens for z keys, you just have to enter a HB tournament and then the tournament guy will tell you how to trade tokens for keys.
Despite my consistent attempts for more info on how it was done I was told to 'look on guru' as there are loads of posts on it...

But strangely right after my last comment he logged off

Shrouded, I can read the name and know who it was. Plz remove the screenshot for another one, while I agree this guy needs to be shot... the forum rules allow not to openly accuse people and post their IGN are there for good reason.

One particular scam made me laugh hard one day.

At that time I was doign my Mesmer FoW, and already was with all my ectos needed, then someone saw that I was buying and said:

(always in whisper)SCAMMER: Hey, do you have lot of ectos, right???

ME: Yeah

SCAMMER: Nice, I dicovered a glitch in Dunes of Despair that duplicate your items, want me to show you???

ME: Sure (Lol, he really belives that I am beliveing in his story)

...Inside Dunes of Despair Mission...

SCAMMER: Ok, now, to start the glitch, first we must come to that dune

ME: Ok (lol)

SCAMMER: Ok, now, here, at this exact point, drop all your ectos so I can make the code glitch

ME: Ok. (lolololololololololololol)

... Then I drop some Demonic Remais...

SCAMMER: Not Demonic, the glitch only works in ectos and shards

ME: Right, and I am Madonna...

... Quit Mission, Ignore Player, Report to A.Net...

Today, when I think of it, its even funnier than before, and the most amazing thing is that I wonder if the scammer was really trusting that someone would ever belive in him

I bought 22e for 100k this morning and put in 100g not thinking the first time, felt kind of like a tool after that LoL. I think its a pretty common mistake.

Lol they love me this weekend, just annoyed 2 idiots in ToA while on my ele, they wanted to try the thirsty river trick on me, they didnt seem impressed when i dropped a peppermint scythe.

Even funnier was when i got back to toA one was still there and i spammed in the district he is a scammer, he then tried to bribe me with a load of junk from his storage

and then ectos.

No screenies now, I remember when miniatures were new, someone wanted to buy my Hydra for 50 plat...so first he puts in 40 plat...waits...changes to 45 plat...waits a bit...changes again...and puts in 50...gold...I kept on waiting...and lolling him in PM...
I think I've seen most of the well known scams here...most scams are pretty sorry
