Thats right, i was in LA and someone was wanting a PC on these. So i traded to look, and it was indeed a clay brick and a brick of mud!!! (see attached)

Now, he says he got these today, i'm pretty sure he wasn't lying.. but what does this mean? new armour/weapons? or just useless materials?

I got a feeling with the new End of prophecies, it could also be an accident that allowed these back in...

They were removed from crafters and material traders before. I guess some people still have them.

They are obsolete.

i don't. But i asked, DID THESE EVER DROP? i did not play in the beta, and only been playing for 2 years. The information online seems to point towards the fact that they never dropped. If this is so, then how has he got these?

The guy seemed innocent and truthful enough, but who is to know?

Hes full of BS they didnt drop today hes trying to make people think they are some super rare crafting mat and trying to sell them for tons of gold. They have NO USE. They are Obsolete

At the end of it all, it could be true. He could have got them as a drop today. Who knows? Go farm the Maguuma jungle (near The Wilds he said) and see if you can find anything.

My guess they've held on to them for 3 years or got them from someone who did. I started right after beta so I'm not sure if they dropped then and/or were available from a crafter during beta.

Most people know they were removed from the game. Maybe you should farm to try to prove your point. I'm not the one listening to people lying about items dropping.

If they'd been added wouldn't they be listed on one of the updates? I don't really pay much attention to anything there that isn't skill related, so I could be wrong.

There was no way to obtain these materials at release, so it's not somebody clearing storage and magically finding them. If they actually have been re-introduced without just being an accident, there will eventually be a use for them.
