who the hell uses greens nowadays? u can get every skin cheap regardless of greens. yeah if u are ultra casual player ull probably be using greens. however, ultra casual players also typically dont have much cash so greens will be cheap anyhow.

I don't think end game greens affect the prices of other greens. The casual player might not want to buy whatever green you're selling, but people who know their stuff probably would. It's overfarming that reduces the prices of greens. End game greens are great for the game. When I first got one, I was happy because it was my first green. And it was a great way to end a campaign. Now I just pass the green on to another character or hero that needs it, but it is encouraging to casual players who will feel better that they get something for beating the campaign.

I don't mind, gives casuals something for playing the campaign.

As for greens dropping in price, that's more the green farmers fault. Remember murakai's reaver? A stygian reaver dyed black. Black. A great big black axe. And sundering isn't total shite on an axe.

Went for tons when GWEN first came out. But now that every man and his dog runs CoF you'd consider yourself lucky to get 5k for it. If anet really wanted to raise green prices, they'd shove some brand new skins in the bottom of shards of orr, or kathandrax or something. Something at the bottom of a dungeon that spanks common parties and is located in the middle of nowhere. Cause right now, plenty of greens are located at an easy boss standing practically right outside town. NF was especially guilty of this. So is it really surprising that greens have dropped in price?

OK, so I got a little pissed off when I saw that prices for Greens were dropping, but I got over it, as did most of GW.

As so many people have said before, static stats/mods on static skins have never really sold for tons of cash anyways. The only Greens that sell regularly are the few that have decent stats for specific uses, such as Totem Axes, +HP/-dmg in Stance Shields, and a few Foci.

If you are mad that you can't make cash for something that's easily farmable, whether an EGG or a Crafting Mat or a common skin Gold, readjust your viewpoint. If they weren't easy to get, they would be worth more. You can either waste your time complaining, or spend your time on something far more profitable like running dungeons, farming areas that drop cash-cow items, or just playing the godforsaken game and having FUN.

Simple point, it's a Game. Games are (or at least, supposed to be) Fun. If you aren't having fun, stop playing, play differently, or adapt your view until you have Fun. Simple.

If you used to get killer cash for your Greens that you farmed, cool. Now you have to get that cash in a different game. ANet changes things, and the in-game economy has always been player-driven. The players decide that Greens are worth 5k at best, so be it. ANet isn't going to change the entire economy inside GW to suit a few players who just want to get rich quick by going solo farming...

My 2 cents has been earned, held, and spent...

-damage require enabler skills, not really cool if you switch builds.
-conditions - thats what condition removal skills are for.

stuff like -5/20 is crap, but still best heroes who don't switch weapons

I do , any that have the stats and skins I want. I wouldn't class myself as casual and I am wealthy .

I will use whatever I need with a skin and stats that I like. Green, Purple, Blue or Gold , I have them all in my stash and It doesn't bother me since I don't feel the need to feed my e-peen shiney gold things continually.

As to the original question , Endgame weapons have no effect on standard green prices , overfarming and availability kills prices.

Like most greens, they are best suited for Heroes.

The Prophecies End-game weapons I'm using are all from the Crafter.

Endgame greens have nothing to do with this. Since greens are only coming IN the market (I doupt alot of players sell greens to the merchant), prices are bound to go down - no matter which green. It's just a matter of time before almost every green isn't worth more than 5K.

greens are cheap because they are plentiful, and because most of the time they have fairly common skins. there are a few out there that still hold their value very well, konrrus fervor is one of them because you cant get its stats anywhere else.

Give the newbies some decent weapons for beating the game, its not like max weapons make the player or anything. The weapons are ok stuff that will work for any build, which is what they need.

I think how greens are 5kish these days, it's cheap now for me to equip my heroes more. (Up till about 2 days ago, heroes to me were nothing more than henches with 8 skills, I'm just now starting to outfit them.)

I use greens when I don't want to pay an extra 15k for mods that will add up to the same damn stats.

No, it wasn't until the Sorrow's Furnace update that collectors carried most of the max equipment.

Did that myself. Grabbed the Deldrimor Daggers when the new stuff came out because I knew I was getting Factions in a few days (Sunday, in fact) and would be making an Assassin. They look nice and viscious, too. Actually, I only did that because my Warrior (who was the one to go through HP) didn't need a shield (have the Droknar's Strength shield and the Serrated Shield from the GotY for Tactics) and had no interest in the Sundering weapons (much prefer Cruel Axes and Barbed Swords, and already have the Sundering Rhino's Charge with a +29 Fortitude, which is good enough ).

Still, yay for endgame greens.

If they were brown maybe they would be better I like the green farm thing and think that end game items should be a different color Brown seems a good choice

I like greens. Ok, the endgame ones are not perfect, but I usually get the monk-ones for my heroes. Generally, you can always find a set of greens to suit your needs. And it's so much easier than moding (lazy)

Ah, okay sorry I wasn't around until a few months after that.

Still, the point I was making is valid. Craftable max weapons, that can have the same stats as any green, endgame or farmed, have been around for a vast majority of GW's lifetime. If people were going for stats alone, those would have ruined the farmed greens prices just as much, if not more, than the end game greens.
