The implementation of grind based titles and the like.

Not being able to go wherever looks interesting in the game

The basic change to the game with the advent of NF and Factions that prevented me from exploring where I wanted as I wanted. My favorite aspect of Prophecies was deciding to, "go that way today and see what there is to be seen."

Exactly. Gone are the days when you had to go to elite areas and study hardmode areas for a decent amount of time to make sure all professions had the right skill set up.

Now, don't think I'm going to whine at Ursan here because I'm a crappy level at it. I'm max, I have the skill, plus I do go in Ursan parties, but it's ruined GW. Why? LOOK AT THE GAME! It has different professions. That's GW! Different professions that need to be combined and compliment each other for you to be able to battle and crack high end quests. With Ursan, you just need that spell and a few monks. Done. When GW2 comes out, the Norn really don't need that skill! Or it needs a mighty re-think so that every player isn't a Norn Character. GW2 is supposed to have different races with different professions right? But if Ursan Blessing is the same in that game (if it's even used at all) then it nees to be altered a lot, otherwise in every town and outpost, all you'll have are Norn charactersm because Ursan can do EVERYTHING FOR YOU.

Good things? Well yes, in the past if you didn't have Propechies or Nightfall for example and groups required that you had spells from those campaigns to be able to get into high end groups/levels, then you'd be buggered. You didn't have the skills, so the group leader would have kicked you. Now, all you need is one campaign and the expansion of EoTN. So you have them and you can get into high end areas at a breeze, where as in the past it might have been hard for you and maybe too daunting. So it helps new people try out these high level areas with a good Norn rank.

But my point about it completely ruining high level areas where you actually used the game as it should be played still stands. No more do you require deep meaningful thinking about what professions and skills to be used. No more do you need to spend a good while discussing tactics etc. Everyone just grabs Ursan and goes running around. I've said I'm max rank in Norn and use Ursan, but the tactics for it are pathetic. It ruins all professions - basically what GW is about. Make believe characters with skills that can compliment each other.

I really pray that the Norn chars in GW2 don't have Ursan blessing, otherwise every single player in Gw with be a bloody Norn.

Ursan.

The game is no longer a challenge because of it.

There's a thread buried on guru somewhere that I started, right after EotN came out. My point was that Ursan is going to be way, way, way too powerful - and that people will start spamming for Ursan only groups so they can blow through the elite areas spamming the same two Ursan skills. That was the vision I had for the future of the game.

My other point was that bad play (and poor/new players) would be able to beat the elite areas and therefore there would be no need to improve at GW anymore.

People responded to me overwhelmingly, calling me an idiot, etc and all kinds of flames since I didn't have any "evidence" that Ursan would be a big deal.

So um... lol... told you so!

Angry The Most Disappointing thing in GW

1st- The Player base= Because of the people being people ideology, I never join a group anymore and pretty much stay in areas where there aren't any. I have gotten sick of the insults and stupid remarks just for asking a question from little "hide behind your monitor" types I would choke in real life.

2nd- Lootscaling= Everything from elite armor to tomes cost a fortune to buy and the drops you recieve from battles are miniscule in proportion. Merchant prices are outrageous (example= most runes have very little value at all). I recently spent a weekend farming an area and only got 1 gold drop the entire weekend. Some of my best areas I used to farm are impossible now. I kill a boss in a quest or a mission and recieve a few coins or a garbage weapon at best- I have never had a green drop ever in this game. I won't even talk about chests.

3rd- Heros= You should be able to use more than 3 to fill a party of 8 if you have them and when I flag them to stay put, STAY PUT. Also, when I click on a target, they should be attacking that target and not running around like most of the player groups I've encountered attacking anything they like.

It is true in the context of PvP, and its not just the expansion classes but there have been long standing issues with core class abilities like soul reaping. As with paragons, that kind of inherent energy reproduction ability has turned out to be bad for the game. Izzy himself has stated this on a number of occasions.

New classes have simply eradicated the balance that existed prior to their introduction. Each class has had their own problems, teleports, combo insta kills, spirits, shouts, mindless attack spamming and stupid forms all did there bit to create problems for the game. Its not just new classes either, but the introduction of overpowered skills for core classes in subsequent expansions.

As for PvE, I'm not sure. Many skills are problematic, but whether the classes themselves are a problem I'm not sure.

biggest "disappointment" is that GW tries to be too many things at once, and truly succeeded in none of them.

The most disappointing thing to me is the dead silence (and empty party search panel) you find in many mission towns that are full of players with little blue "8"s over their heads. Kind of deflating.

Nope. Just the silence that ensues.

what bugs me is the whole "WTB/WTS" seems like an easy way would be...

example:
BUYING 3 ecto
or
B-3 ecto

S-3 ecto

then just look for the S and B (the 1st letter) instead of having to look at the 3 frickin' letter. Just makes more sense and makes it easier to read an alrdy busy trade channel

Alot of things like for example You go into to do Duncan, you finally get your party filled, everyone is asked if they have the other boss's killed, and they say yes... You arrive to Slavers and the door won't open ....
