If the exploit was incredibly serious the chances of them mentioning what it was are low, seeing as how it could unsettle a large portion of the playerbase.

Obviously scolding them will work, as only the most patient, well-mannered people post demanding a status report.

Update - Tuesday, May 13, 2008
Fixed an exploit that allowed players access to two unique untested classes called the Paragon and Ritualist. All access to these two classes have been removed from the game.
That would be a wet dream for some people out there in the community considering the amount of zealous hate there is for them.
Kinda sad really.

Unfortunately I don't have an information-rich update. A meeting will be scheduled to discuss the details of the exploit. As soon as I know more, I'll relay what information I can.

Lets see... its 4pm PST now. A.net's offices probablly close up around 5. So... wait till tommorow?
Until then, continue wild speculations.
The exploit allowed you to reintroduce the Cynn thong. A.net had to act swiftly to protect the eyes of innocent children from pixelated *wolf whistle*

Well, I was hoping to provide you with a little more information on the exploit/exploit fix, because I know everyone here is incredibly curious. However, due to security issues, details of this exploit, such as what the exploit affected, how the exploit was carried out, and (of course) who is involved, cannot be revealed.
What I can tell you is that, after investigation, they found that a very small number of people were involved. The accounts involved in the exploit have already been banned.

lmao, Im trying to imagine a semi-professional meeting like this.
"Hey mike, we're meeting in the conference room at 4, be there."
---"Oh man, Ive got some programming to do, whats the meeting for."
"This guy was using l33t h4x, we had to do an update, we called in the CEO to tell him"
---"Ok, ill call the wife and tell her to put the dinner in the oven, hax meetings are important."

I suppose the real question people really want to know is whether it was a hacking exploit and that was how various people have had their accounts stolen recently, or whether it was just an ingame exploit that helped people get rich or somthing unrelated to stealing accounts.

Did it have anything to do with this thread:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10288598
Because frankly, with some sort of hacking of accounts via the interception of the reconnect feature would be a serious problem, and is currently keeping me clear of playing any form of PvP until I can be sure my account is safe. If the "exploit" was something else, then I will continue to avoid AB. But if it was this problem, I can rest easier.

Willing to place money that this was the issue. There are no other exploits in the game that could be more important than stealing accounts.
