I always rune my heros

I rune up the heroes I use with all minors, bar olias w/ sup death... if the insig I want for that hero is approx 100g then ill pick it up, but otherwise I dont bother, never bother with radiants/survivors/vigours, because its pve an the heroes are too stupid to make it worth the extra money for those stuff.

Me, I've put 1 run ever on a hero, and thats good ol' Master Of Whispers. He has a sup death. Besides that....... nobody has anything. I dont even give them weapons qq. Too dang expensive.

I do for *all* of my heroes that I use. Why? Well for the same reason I put runes and insignias on my characters: to make them better players. I always replace their weapons as well, for the same reason. I pretty much always play alone with Heroes & Henchies (except for the occasional times when I can get my son to stop playing Lotro long enough to play with me) and the heroes are a very important part of my team.

Of 200 ish heroes across 10 characters I would have sup vigours on my characters and about 25-30 heroes (nothing purchased - just ones i have come across as drops or in chests), with nearly everyone else having major vig. There are about 10 characters that would be unruned that are there mostly to hold on to the spiffy sword collection of my main toon. About 70% of the heroes would be fully kitted with survivor (sometimes radiant when appropriate) and with one main superior, one or two key minors and the rest vitae etc. This means that an ele will have say a sup fire and minor energy storage a minor earth and a vitae to accompany a vigour rune and full survivors.

As for weapons I love to pimp them out. Livia has a tormented curses staff, Zhed prefers a dragon staff, Gwen wont let anyone touch her ghostly staff, Dunk likes his 20/20 prot platinum staff, and that clothes horse Norgu seems to think his ensemble is best matched by the Fuschia version.

All of my heroes get spoiled. The all get at least a major vigor, some a superior. They all get Radiant or the health one...forgot name... They also get Superior runes on their helmets, masks etc... This is because, they are better at their job and they make my job easier. I also give them the best weapons, shields etc.
Your heroes are your friends, treat them as friends!

Always rune and insigina them. Also give them good green weapons based on their builds, and customize the greens to you for the physical dmg heroes, because the +20% applies to them.

You are only gimping yourself if you don't do the above.

For everyone that doesn't Rune and Max Weapon their heros... That is why we don't pug...

If you cant figure out that Heros with non max weapons, and no runes are not significantly worse than properly outfitted heros, then how are you going to play in a pug.

I do and usually get a weap etc. rune/insignia from a chest/drop soon after I buy it for hero, sods law

I could've saved a fortune if I kept the runes etc. I stripped from things in the bank, I think the technical term is "Doh!"

Ive runed my heros and splashed out on Olias(insignias,Sup death, Sup vigor) was a brilliant investment.

I don't bother with weapons so much too expencive for little benefit - just give them the best junk i come across.
