I use my keyboard for going forward/backward/strafing, and I use my mouse to turn my character while moving, and I use both to use my skills.

Use WASD for moving because I am used to using my left hand on an arcade joystick for movement.

I use the key board to move. For the skills I mostly only use 1,2,3 and sometimes 4 because there close to AWSD since I use them to move. The others I use the mouse.

I use mouse-look, keyboard move (including: auto-run, space, and regular movement) most of the time, occasionally mouse move. I usually activate skills 1-5 with KB and 6-8 with mouse, because I find that I can't reliably hit 6-8 with my left hand.

Special Note – for my Mesmer (or any I guess) a programmable mouse is a great tool for disrupting fast casted spells ( I have two buttons mapped for skill 5 and 6 ) just in case. It is also good for spamming skills

Same here. Programmable mouse with 3 buttons for skills 6,7,8.
On mes: 6,7 being interrupts and 8 being rez sig for insta-rez
On monk: 6 = infuse, 7 and 8 depending no the build. Mainly .25 sec spells though.
I use 1-5 on the board.
As for moving, I dont strafe with Q and E, just WASD and right mouse button + A or D to strafe. Got used to it somehow. The good thing about it is that I can assign Q and E to party members. One for the other monk and the other for soft targets that spikes tend to go for early like a mesmer. Fastest way I tried for infusing so far since I can click Q or E to select and my assigned mouse button for Infuse pretty fast.

I use the WASD keys to move and I generally use a combination of mouse/keys to use skills so that I can get them off faster.
I like it because I can move/rotate camera simultaneously with great ease.

You can do that if you use the mouse to move as well.

I was used to W,A,S,D from FPS games but in competitive PvP mouse movement is in many cases the way to go (Rubberbanding, Nearby Target Selection and Shortest Pathways). Skill activation 1,2,3 etc. is also faster if you use your left hand (and not click activation).

I deactivated the click-mouse movement. It was annoying when selecting my dummy targets.
While during real fights I move with the WADS only.
The rest of the time, using the right had only is more than enough for both movements and skill activation. Although I do not move with clicks, I use the Hold right button, then hold alo left button trick.

Movement: Mouse
Skills: kb
Target selection: Click party/person.
As a monk, mouse moving means you do not end up getting desync'd as often. Also having the ability to click targets on the field while you're also moving is a great boon. With your hand on the KB using skills, it becomes a lot more seamless than some of the other ways you can play GW, imo.

Keyboard for general moving, mouse for kiting and other more precise positioning (blocking, etc).
