Well those are clearly against the EULA, so you don't really need a discussion for that.

To be honest i see no problem with "Power traders" unless your poor in which case its not their fault they ask a high price for an item you desire. Its your fault for not having enough gold or ectos to afford the price.

People have a right to sell their stuff at whatever price they demand, there is no rules saying they cant. Not to mention if a player buys a high demand item for a low price from a "n00b" and then goes on to sell it for 10x what they paid, that isn't the buyers fault. The buyer just made profit on an item which is the whole point of trading, to make profit.

I have nothing against power traders, if thats what they want to do, then let them. They don't control the market, its supply and demand and its a global market anyway.

And...Malice, come to Fury PvP server and play with me :P

Not scamming, there's nothing saying you can't scam everyone. Hell, even submitting a thing to Support doesn't get scammers banned.

Close the thread, Sha ended the discussion already.

Selling stuff cheap = less time standing around, more time to go out and make money doing other stuff. If I see somethin being sold super cheap and no one's taken it yet, I might just buy it to resell. It could be a simple case of a person that hates selling and decides to put low prices on their stuff.
You hit it right on the nail. This is what one looks for. A tedious hand, a hand that wants to sell and be done with it. There are various ways to spot it. Someone selling an item at the lower range of its worth. Incessant spamming of the item. A predictable lowering of its value. The first one is the most common, the last two happen much less often. What the buyer now does is bring the item even lower via haggling. Haggling is essential and crucial to this process. Usually 10-15% can be taken off the price ~90% of the time. It really depends on how adept you are in the art and how you talk to the individual about the situation.

Powerselling has nothing really to do with ripping off the less informed but rather buying for cheap from those who prefer the less tedious and economic aspect of GW and selling for more. It is simply a reward given for the input of time and the knowledge that one knows.

So this borderline trolling thread is going in circles, and it seems some people are taking the discussion personally. I'm just going to close it now.
