When i was beginner in the game and wanted to make a warrior, i wanted to name him Arthas...holy crap i tried every sensible mode fore his name and all of them was out alrdy. after half an our i though...wtf am i doin? do i want such a clearly retarted name? Nope..lets just play with casters, they are more fun for me anyway.
There are funny novelty names, like that dervish i saw 1 day, Santa Clous and he wore a red-dyed istani armor...and there are dump, even annoying ones, which just ruins the feeling of a mature game in some cinematics.

My mesmer who is also my main, is S C H A L A. If you get the reference, good for you. If you don't, you're just not old enough to have played one of the greatest games ever.

I dunno, I loved Chrono Trigger and the name fits my character.

Novelty names can be fun if they are creative. I've had my monk for 2 years with the name 'Joanie Loves Chachi'. Granted she was mainly used for pvp so their wasn't much of a problem.

I laugh everytime that I see someone try to copy it!

My real life friends and I used to know a real creep in high school. Upon some late night web perusal, we discovered his alias on some strange, erotic 1920s roleplaying board.

I took the opportunity and created a PvP Mesmer with his moniker.

Nevermore are indeed a great band, I can't wait for them to get back in the studio, saw them live with Opeth and both bands were astounding live.
