With heroes it's all piece of cake, also in hardmode.

yep, getting masters in Ring of Fire missions with 7 proph hench could be very difficult, as could capping come skills way back then. No flagging either, and lots of nukes and aoe around there.

In this game, there are three things that I have tried to do, but not yet succeeded. Those are
1- Slaver's exile normal mode.
2- Vloxen Excavations hard mode
3- Plains of Jarin hard mode.
Vanquishing Plains of Jarin was the first thing I tried to do in Hard mode. I haven't done it yet because I'm going in order, and I'm currently in the Maguuma Jungle with the first character I'm taking through hard mode. I am one hundred per cent certain I could do it now.
Vloxen Excavations I did when I heard a guy in my alliance at the time ask for some help with it. Starting at Vlox's falls, we couldn't reach the second floor. I hadn't done much if any hard mode at the time, and I can't speak for him. I think that I would have a chance at it.
Slaver's exile, I gamely tried to beat after each of my characters beat Eye of the North (normal mode). Note that I did ALL the other dungeons, mostly with heroes and henchmen. Note also that I have all three "protector" titles on all three of my characters, so I'm no wuss. However, I could never get past the first big Stone Summit group. Earlier today, I tried it again, hoping my Hard Mode experiance would help. It did, I guess. I gut to Seveltarm's group, cleared out everything in the room save for him, the Stone Summit that swarms around him, and one of those grasping ghoul dervish things, having full death penalty on everyone at the time. I couldn't take out both of the guys with res skills. This is Normal Mode. This is also why I think I'd have a chance at Hard Mode Vloxen, it has those Stone Summit with so many ressurect skills, though not in such huge groups. Hard Mode Slaver's exile must be completely unreasonable.
Noth that I could not find a group for the domain of Anguish, and have never tried the Realms of the Gods or Factions Elite Missions, so I can't compare those. However, I cannot imagine that they are even on the same scale. I broke my teeth on Slaver's Exile, and nothing else. It is the hardest thing in the game. Please, ArenaNet, do NOT replicate this mass reusable resurrecting enemy experiance in Guild Wars Two. It was not enjoyable.

Realm of Torment.
Look at the builds there. They're almost all cookie cutter. They don't encourage flexibility in skill choices. Though I'm not sure how to make an area more difficult without making the skill choices more cookie cutter. Not sure that there is a way. Maybe its more of the skill collection choices. Dunno

In NM, I can't beat Foundry of Failed Creations. (No, I haven't gone with 6x r10 Ursans...)

I agree that the hardest (and most fun) areas are in GWEN. The burning forest of Sacnoth terrifies me even as a BHA ranger and I will usually avoid it if possible.
However, I generally prefer smaller mobs that are strong and balanced (like the group of three ceratadons on the way to bloodstone caves) as it favors shutdown and trickery over raw power. This is why I love 4-man areas and really wish there was a 4-man dungeon.

I think that the Assault the Stroghold is ridiculously hard in Hard Mode. Totally unbalanced. Also the respawned monsters do not give XP so you cannot reduce your DP. I consider hard mode a real tack on done without considering balance.

It's only really hard, when your H/H are going super-retardo.
When possible, Guildies > all.

Yeah. Hell's NM should be easy with a full guild team right?
But on topic, I've found the burning forest and the hidden city hardest. SF ftl.

I've had a lot of trouble trying to vanquish Grothmar Wardowns. (Haven't tried Sacnoth yet).
On the other hand, I found the Hidden City to be relatively easy. Worse part was the giant open circle area with the djinn, but I was able to pull them apart and pick off a few each time.

I did an ursan run in NM and had no trouble with it. Most wern't even r10 and one of the monks sucked.

I wont count Elite Areas or Dungeons.
Normal Mode (for opinionated reasons)
- Gyala Hatchery
- Tahnnakai Temple
- Jennur's Horde
- Gate of Madness
Hard Mode (again, for opinionated reasons)
- The Eternal Grove
- Abaddon's Mouth
- Vizunah Square
- Dzagonur Bastion
I'm sure there are plenty of places everyone may find hard or difficult in their own way. The main reason I put the ones I have here: Finding a group when hero/hench just don't seem to work.

Simply put the single hardest room or area in all of GW's is Foundry HM room
#3. It is responsible for more Elite Mission wipes then any other. IF the
Titans spawn on top of u when u hide in the corner...its gg folks. This should
end any argument on the hardest area for high end pve.

I would say Eye of the North and Southern Shiverpeaks are the hardest to vanquish. Canthan is pretty much easy. Didn't do NF yet. But, yea those are my choices.

Yes, yes, yes. I HATE Gate of Madness specifically, Realm of Tormet in general. You aggro more than one group and you're dead.
EDIT: Also, may just be me, but Finding a Purpose seems to be a pain. I'm trying to get Razah, and the first group swarms and kills my entire party. Also, as stated, the PUGs for Abbadon's Gate are for just that, Abbadon's Gate only. Therefore, I have to run H/H, and we get nuked into oblivion.
