EOTN. You get heroes and can earn rewards for Guild Wars 2 if you wish to do so. Though if you like Guild Wars that much then be greedy and get both!

I would recommend you to take Factions, first, if you must buy one or the other

You sound surprised!
But seriously - pretty much the only thing I got out of GWEN was the Norn ritualist outfit (which is TO DIE FOR - which you can't get because you don't have Factions ) and stuff like [Finish Him], [You Move Like A Dwarf] and [Ebon vanguard Assassin Support].
Where as Factions gave me superb armour choices, the ritualist class, Aspy, AB, my favourite mission in the whole game (Vizunah! - although to be fair - also one of my least favourite missions - Arborstone! Yuck, how I hate thee!) and some insanely sweet skills! (Come to papa [Arcane Languor] - yeah, I KNOW, but I still LOVE it!)
The only problem is that the PvE skills are so freakishly godly that it might just be worth getting GWEN.
Basically - Gwen gives you the ammo, whereas Factions provides a playing field to use the ammo on.

EotN = Dungeons = Epic Phailure, dont waste your money.
Factions has Urgoz = good.

I'd take Factions over GWEN any day. Its content is simply superior to GWEN's. More gameplay, less grind.

EOTN has heroes like nightfall which can help you get your quests done. I personally thought Factions was easy to beat and besides when GW2 comes out you can bring the things from your hall of monuments over which you cant get in factions the hall of monuments is only in EOTN.
If Possible get Both

You'll want both if you keep playing, but get Factions first imho. I really enjoyed Factions.

factions has a very good storyline, but the scenery, imo, is awful. and mapping can be a pain in the ass.
GWEN has really good scenery and fun side features, i.e. dungeons, PvE skills.
honestly i think you could probably get both of them for 25-40 bucks, so get both.

Factions is an amazing campaign, people say they don't like it, but it's not horrible. I like it a lot more than GW:EN....and A LOT more than Nightfall
GW:EN has it's good times too....
Edit: Oh great you got Factions

Welcome to ecto farming! Dervish FoW armour looks pretty good.
If you don't like the look of kaineng city, don't worry...the jade sea and kurzick forest look gorgeous.

You have two choices really.
If you want to pug more, get GWEN
If you want to enjoy the game more, get Factions
GWEN offers you nice pve things and minigames and such if you strictly want pve godliness.
But i find that having essential skills such as SY and AoHM is better than Ursan.
Factions seems pretty deserted in comparison to other campaigns, so don't expect to find that many groups after nahpui quarter.
There is ofcourse the fact that Factions offers you two new classes which are very fun i must say. Ritualist came out to be a very enjoyable class for me. And if you want to farm ectos and stuff, then the recently buffed SF-sin is the right way to go.

So the new dungeons, areas, and campaign in GW:EN don't exist.
The places in GW:EN may be a bit iffy, but they're still great fun nonetheless.

Factions is the shortest campaign, but it has new skills for the core classes, 2 new professions, and some semblance of storyline. Sure, there's the grind for faction, but that only happens once. In EotN you have to grind faction for 4 different races, it drives me nuts. I never should have bought it.

IMO Factions as PVE Blows something horrid.
On the other hand you get new skills (some of which are quite good), 2 new classes, and char slot, FA/JQ/AB. All of which make it worth getting.
EOTN has some new skills, ton of pve only skills, heroes, armor, gloves, and a lot of grind titles...
Eh they both suck but if you want to PVP get both for the skill unlocks.

I actually never play there.
I think that it lacks the shiny new feeling that chapters brought.
It's more of a "Let's go to the places we've already been before" and I am like "Why?".
The only dungeon that I actually had fun in was Shards. (Well outside of Killy-farming.) It just wasn't fun enough to ever do it again though.
And I KNOW I should play it because that's the only way to get my PvE skills to become stronger - but I just can't be bothered.
