Better late than never I suppose, but my sympathies to people who labored to get Destroyer weapons in HoM. Personally, I had a feeling this day would come so I didn't bother since I didn't like any of them. Now, I'll put my Tormented stuff in there. Overall, I'm pleased, but I can't understand why Anet didn't just do this in the first place.

I still fail to understand the folks who are upset because they "labored" so hard to "fill" their HoM with Destroyer weapons. Are they as pissed when a new mini comes out (meaning a previously "full" collection is no longer complete), or if Deldrimor armor were allowed in?
It's one thing to be frustrated, but to have such dramatic reactions? ..We don't even know what the rewards in GW2 will be yet.

Well in my case, Im upset because I was told that we were NOT going to be able to add any weapons to our HoM except Destroyer Weapons. If I would have known, I would have spent my money on Tormented Weapons instead of Destroyer Weapons.
My HoM has been filled since January, I bought all the materials when they were alot more expensive than they are now. I would have much rather spent that on Tormented Weapons instead of Destroyer Weapons.
That alone is the only reason I bought the Destroyer Weapons, becasue they were the only weapon allowed in our HoM's.

Ok, that makes sense. I understand being mad about losing so much money in that sense. But on the other hand, it sorta goes to my whole point -- that the HoM should be for your stuff... i.e., the "prestige" stuff you've acquired and fought with, not just for the sake of filling so your descendants get something cool (of what exactly we still do not know).
It's pretty obvious that ANet doesn't have all the details nailed down about how the HoM will transfer to GW2, so personally I'm not suprised if some things are added or altered here and there (like when mini's were originally customized to the owning character). In fact, I'm counting on that when it comes to the weapons, as for the most part I don't care for the look of either Destroyer or Tormented sets. I'm waiting for Nightfall and Prophecies end-games to be added.

I'm confused. If the update goes live , I'll need 22 weapons (2 weps for the same skin) or 11 from which i can choose between tormented or destroyer?

11 slots with both destroyer and tormented weapons to choose from with filling them (at least common sense would dictate this).

/dont care tormented are ugly i wouldnt say that if you could dye the purple a difrent color but no so unless i want to invest time im not going to bother with this, monument. what they neeed to do is add greens to the mix.

to the people who say "my assassin doesnt need staff,wand,spear,etc-
H E R O E S can use your custom weps... clearly that was the intent was so you can have a team of heroes with matching weps.
dont feel too bad, i know a guy who bought 3 each destroyer shields and swords modded them different for his warrior and then said WTF when he could only place one of each in his HOM.
does it even explain anywhere in game that only one of each wep type can be added?

HoM has been FAIL from the very anouncement of it.
They should have only told us that it would save our character names, left all the rest silent. This would have given them much greater freedom to change the HoM to reflect what players wanted in it.
After they understood what we wanted, and what they wanted us to recieve in GW2 as a reward for filling the HoM they could have adjusted the reward to better fit how we wanted to use our HoM.
Now they are trying the reverse, they know what we get in GW2, can't or won't tell us, but are trying to reverse engineer what we can display to recieve that reward.

You have TWO yes TWO whole years before GW2 is out so what's the dang hurry to get HOM maxed out today? And HOM has been out for almost a year now so you'll have a total of almost 3 years to get prepared. So, stop posting on forums and get to work.

You know, they jsut could have made HoM weapons rack "structured"
11 racks.
you need to earn "11 points" worth of weapons to monument count as completed.
purple r9- item/highreq (even rare skin) gold: 0.25 points.
gold or green item (r9-): 0.5 points
"rare" skin gold, r9; 1 point
destroyer weapon grade weapons (r8 rare skin golds): 2 points
tormented weapon grade weapons (r7 rare skin golds): 3 points.
higher rank of item overwrites lower rank when added to HoM.
that way, you have leeway in filing monument with whatever you want but you have offset crap you put in by putting in some precious weapon.
